Hidden away in a lonely strip mall on San Pedro sits a hidden gem of deliciousness, Giovanni's Pizza. I've been eating at Giovanni's for the last 16 years and even though the faces at the front counter have changed, I have never had a bad meal or negative experience. The Calzones are enormous, full of whatever goodness suits your palate... More

Best pizza in Albuquerque. Now that's pizza. Growing up we had a pizza place in San Diego right in my little hilltop neighborhood that was like no other. Gaetanos Pizza in Tierrasanta 92124. Now we are talking pizza with an old world punch. I never thought I'd find another. Sweet sauce. Loads of cheese with a big squeeze of garlic.... More

I'm a Chicago style pizza fan but my husband is a New York style pizza lover. This is one of his favorite places to eat at, ever. Not in a great part of town. All walks of life can be found here, from homeless to trendsetters. Anyway, the food is so good that I take my kids here by myself.... More

Don't come to NM for pizza. Don't come for pasta. Don't come for seafood. It's not what we "do". But, if you're in NM, and maybe you're from "back east", and you just want a great slice of pizza to tie you over until you can get back home ... This is the place! The best pick? Hands down, the... Support local. Great reviews. Good service. Clean. Greasy pizza. Not the NYC pizza I was hoping to find.

Apparently, this neighborhood joint does not advertise because they do a booming business as a result of word-of-mouth. We were there 1pm on a very hot Saturday afternoon, and the place was almost empty except for a few folks coming in for take-out orders. I would describe the place as 'utilitarian'...we're here to give you pizza. No coffee, no wine.... More

Rated the best of Abq? I'm not sure. Its okay. With so many wood fired pizza places these days (Lucas, Farina, Scarpas....) pizza is pretty tough competition. It's not bad but I've had better in the city. As far as traditional pizza goes Dions is still better in my opinion.

We stopped by this restaurant after a co-worker suggested it. He has gushed many times about how it is the "best pizza in town". Well, I can't speak to the pizza myself as I am unable to eat it, but I can tell you that the other two gentlemen in our party, who did have it, were less than impressed.... More

A recent review tagged Giovanni's with the single word "filthy". If they had used the word "shopworn" I could agree, the place has been around a long time. The floors are somewhat worn but I am not aware of any City of Albuquerque Health Inspections that failed. I was there yesterday and saw nothing of what was described in the... More

I do not think there is anything on the menu that would not be enjoyed. There is much than just pizza. My advice, just go there. Mangia! Manngia!
