Heard a lot about Murphy's Mule Barn so we went on a Monday afternoon at 3 pm. 4 tables with people in the whole restaurant. From the time we ordered until we were served was 40 minutes. The chicken fried steak was very good, but served with lumpy gravy that was far from good. My wife order the Blue Mule... More

The restaurant seems to be inside an actual barn - very open and very loud when full. The food comes in huge portions and the price is reasonable. I had the corned beef hash - again it was soft and mushy - but tasty. The eggs were done perfectly and the pancake was large and very good. One of my... More

I love the fact that they have eclectic coffee cups on the table for when you arrive....looks like they went to a yard sale! They have totally updated their menu...good? bad? not sure yet! Love the Mule Shoe! (take off the Texas toast). HUGE portions.....give it a try!

My boyfriend and I have been on a mission to try new local food establishments when we go out to eat. I typically spend time scroll through reviews prior to making a selection. I found Murphy's while searching for top Albuquerque breakfast locations on google. After reading several reviews I was a bit skeptical about what to expect. One reviewed... More

I had lunch here before and finally decided to return for breakfast. There is a good range of breakfast options. I had the a special with eggs, biscuits & gravy and hash browns. The gravy was tasty and the portions huge. My wife had an enchilada breakfast. She commented that the enchilada was just OK as the tortilla was a... More

I wish I could give this place LESS than ONE star. Before going, I read many of the reviews. I read the good ones and I read the bad ones. I dismissed the bad reviews as being written by potentially picky, difficult to please people. I figured the people who were disappointed probably went there with unreasonable expectations. I was... The biggest breakfast I have ever seen and a low price of $8.95. Big chicken fried steak, with a large pancake, and two eggs and hash browns. You will be asking for boxes to take home. I would have preferred if 'grandma's gravy had a little more flavor. This could be done by adding sage, and garlic, or since we... More
