IF you like really spicy chili, red or green, this place is the absolute best. It's not the run of the mill tourist stuff that a lot of places uses. We go once or more a week for our chili "fix" !!!

One of the best New Mexican restaurants in the Albuquerque area with a great atomosphere. Has a lovely garden area outside with a water fall and I believe Koi fish pond. Some days they have a very good guitar player. Food and drinks are excellent. Large and very clean restaurant with umbrellas in the garden area. Out side has very... More

Don't bother to stop there on a Friday or Saturday night unless you are willing to wait over 40 min+ to be seated.

I've lived in New Mexico all of my life and can tell you that the carne Adovada burrito at Casa de Benavidez is the best I've ever had. The red chile is excellent as well. Not everybody knows how to make good red chile; they do. Stay Golden.

The restaurant is spacious and very pretty. The wait staff was very attentive and seem to be generally happy you were there. The portions were very ample and the food was delicious. The only less than satisfactory aspect for me was the pricing. It was eight dollars for bacon and eggs which I felt was a bit much. In addition... More

Stopped in for dinner and was struck by how large the place was but also how empty. Service was very friendly and attentive and the food was good. Sopapillas were included in the meal price and were delicious!

Our first visit. Was recommended by my doctor. We sat in the enclosed patio with a nice view of the pond and waterfall. The waitstaff were very friendly and patient with us. Order a stuffed soaipilla and it was amazing. Highly recommend!

We recently tried Casa de Benevidez for dinner. The restaurant is quite pretty, and as others have noted, the outdoor patio area is especially nice, featuring a large plant-filled water feature. The menu is pretty much the same menu you see in other New Mexican restaurants, nothing really different or unusual. The food is good (certainly not bad) but again,... More
