We went here at least three times while in Albuquerque. Their empanadas and bizcochitos are the best we have found in the area. We cannot go to Albuquerque without a stop here. We also love their molasses pigs. We have never had a bad pastry from here. Try it, you will like it if you like regional cuisine.

This place was found by accident after we had visited the New Mexico Tea Company that is nearby. We were delighted with the relaxed feeling when we were there, as well as more than pleased with the delicious food! It is small; there aren't many tables inside but when the weather is nice, it is possible to sit at the... More

October 7, 2016 - We stopped by the Golden Crown to check out the empanadas which were mentioned in Lonely Planet. The empanadas are fruit filled and baked. We bought three to go and they were delicious. We were so impressed, we came back later that day for pizza and were delighted to find two musicians playing in the courtyard.... More

I LOVE this place. I'm a New Mexico native, I used to bike by this place on my way to work all the time and never stopped. It took moving away and coming back to discover this gem. The staff is amazing, friendly and lovely. I hear the Blue Corn Crust pizza is the best in the world but I've... More

Hadn't been to Golden Crown in a while, and just like last time, it was awesome. Love the current local beers on tap, great pizza, fresh salad, and tasty empanadas.

I've been waiting a long time for this visit and so glad it was on my foodie bucket list. The green chile bread is what brought me in, and it was all that they said it would be and more. I ate toast and sandwiches for a week straight to savor every last morsel. I also ordered a small veggie... More

We sampled a variety of their sweets and were happy with all of them. It is pricier compared to a regular panaderia. Coffee milkshake was deliciously rich.

My favorite are the sweet potato empanadas! Also the apple ones. Not cheap but worth the price. Quiet environment.

First we were welcomed and treat to a biscochito. Yum!! We ordered 2 pizzas and a sandwich. All were delicious. Love the green Chile dough. We left with empanadas and a lemon flaunts for later. Going back tomorrow for bread and cookies for the road.

Affordable hole-in-the-wall near Old Town starts your visit with a free biscochito--and a very good, light and crisp one. Order at the counter while eyeing all the breads and pastries. My friends and I shared a pizza--pretty good, but not great. I finished with a strawberry ice cream cone--looked better than it tasted. Still, it was a pleasant experience overall.... More
