We are from the West Coast and when my kid comes out, we always WANT sushi. Stopped at Haruki East for a late lunch and will never forget it.

We always go at night on special occasions for us a few times a year. Always the same people working there and the same excellent sushi chef who is incredibly helpful and remembers us each time. My wife has loved sushi all her life but I only tried it for the first time a few years ago. I've had good... More

This restaurant isn't very from where I live but I hadn't tried it till a couple of weeks ago. The food (Japanese "maki") was pretty bad -- I found it tasteless and I left it largely uneaten. No tempura on the lunch menu, which I found surprising. After all, it's a Japanese restaurant. The restaurant has been around for many... More

Wayland Square is home to several good restaurants and Haruki is one of the best. The staff is friendly, the interior is unique, the menu is large and the drinks are potent. We sat at the bar and had the beef plate and the chicken skewers. Their new strawberry cosmo is outstanding. I really didn't need a second one. There... More

Been on the road and kept missing a sushi stop until friend in Providence brought me here for lunch. Perfect. So many options to choose from. But I stuck with the classics. Everything was fresh and lovely to look at. Modern decor, friendly and helpful service. Couldn't fault anything here. My sushi fix was totally satisfied!

I visited with a friend who said this was the best place in town. I guess everyone's taste and opinion is different. Everything we ate was fine, but nothing particularly special. I'm told that when the head sushi chef is there in the evening, things might be more interesting and tasty.

We dined here last night and enjoyed a busy, bustling restaurant for excellent Japanese and Asian fare. The fish offerings were fresh and portions were on the generous side. We ordered chicken egg rolls, dumplings, and sushi for appetizers. The seafood stir fry was a delicious entree choice. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and polite. The drinks from the bar... I ordered 2 rolls and 2 nigiri and came out $40 to go. This is sort of Americanized sushi lots of extra sauces. It is creative Sushi.
