We were a bit disappointed when we stopped here for an early dinner. My husband and I split a burrito, the pre-tip amount was $15.14. We both had water to drink. My sister is vegan, she ordered vegetarian fajitas - not on the menu, they charged her the same amount as the meat variety, her bill was $18 for vegetable... More

Great mom and pop style Mexican food, reasonably priced. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in Tucson that have been around a long time that aren't very good. Rosas is the kind of Mexican food I grew up eating in Tucson. Great chimichangas, salsa and service.

Rosas is a more traditional local family Mexican restaurant. The menu includes many traditional offerings and almost any combination of items and other specialties. With five in our party, everyone found dishes they liked. Endless chips and salsa kept us distracted until the food was served which was quickly for a party of five. Portions were generous. Two people split... More

Our visit to Rosa's was just average. The salsa was excellent, but the chips seemed somewhat stale. We ordered one frozen Margarita which was good. The entrees, tacos and a salad were mediocre at best. The tacos were flavorless ground beef (we could probably have specified other meat) buried (completely overwhelmed) by shredded iceberg lettuce. The salad was also overwhelmed... More

So we have been coming here for years, actually, and the first time I ordered the double renello plate.#9 So so good. Rosas sets the bar for this dish. One of us drove from Phoenix just to have this meal based on our recommendation. He wasn't disappointed in any way. Xlnt prices. Yum!

The surroundings make a difference in the experience, so the ability to talk and to hear your friends makes things enjoyable. As with most Mexican restaurants, you will get enough food, but if you get a combination with a taco, eat it first! The walls separating the booths are very well done if you appreciate the artistry. A very nice... More

The food here was good but we were expecting better. Had tacos on their homemade shells. The chicken were delicious but the beef was very bland. Had an enchiladas Ortega style but the sauce was strange, like chicken gravy really. The Guac was fresh but super small portions and overall we thought it was a little pricey for what you received.... Excellent service provided to our large group. Multiple employees stepped up to help. Great team work, good food. Authentic. Would recommend as a go to place to experience Mexican food in Tucson, having said that, the clerk at checkout was overwhelmed and could have used some help that was give on the floor.

I hostessed for a dining meetup group. There were 14 of us and everyone showed up. They had us off to the side room and room for all of us. Treated us very well. Their margaritas are great. I had chicken enchiladas and they were delicious. Everyone seemed to eat all their food and/or take any remaining home. Great place,... More

We picked this restaurant because it wasn't far from our Airbnb and our host had a menu available. Its location isn't Special: in a strip mall in a Tucson neighborhood. But it was pretty busy; we arrived at 530 and by 615 it was full with families, and that on a Monday night after Christmas. My carne seca enchiladas (3... More
