I ate here on a Monday night with a few colleagues. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated quickly. Unfortunately service was very slow. It took more than 15 minutes to order drinks and then another half an hour to order our meals. The restaurant was busy, but not packed and there is no excuse for the long... More

We were hoping for the best and it was served here. We had a great server with him best recommendations. 2 of us had the chicken parm. Over the top excellent. It can be a bit loud, but it was fine after all. The city view here at night is limited But there is some . So, it s more... More

Went for a traditional pasta meal the evening before the race. Service very friendly however somewhat slow. Very good atmosphere, great outdoor seating. Too bad meals didn't arrive together hence meals cooled while waiting for the entire party's to arrive. A bit pricey for serving size and quality. Asked for check to be split but one card was charged twice,... More

Sometimes the real quality of a restaurant is not based upon the food or the prices, but rather the customer service when something goes wrong. First, the food and the price. With a wonderfu ambiance, North has a varied Italian menu with something for everyone, from pasta to pizza to salads to full-on entries. The quality is excellent and the... More

Came here for dinner with family. The food was fabulous, referred to as a scratch kitchen by waitress. Our party had the Fresh pasta and great salads. Everyone enjoyed the food and eating outside in front of the fire pit. Friendly and casual place for a great dinner.

The ambiance is nice, but the bolognaise was just average and not overly generous. My mother's chicken parmigiana looked good, but the accompanying riggitoni was bland and dry with just a dusting of powdered cheese. Over all, I am not impressed (especially at their prices and with everything a la carte). If they tried some prix fixe offerings, I might... More

We had reservations (a must!) on a Friday night. We waited about 10 minutes in an incredibly noisy entry area. We worried that maybe we should go somewhere else because of the noise, but fortunately we stuck it out. Once we were seated, the noise level abated to the point where conversation was possible. The wine and beer lists were... More

had a dinner here al fresco around a table with a fire pit, and we sat in cushioned outdoor chairs. more like the adirondacks? it was a little chilly so it was nice to have the fire going. it added a nice ambiance to the night. food was excellent, service was great, beautiful views of the mountains all over and... We come for the Tucson Gem Show and North is an eating requirement while at the Show. From the great mixologists at the bar, to the hearty wine list, to the made in house-everything bread you shouldn't just have one more bite of, you have to eat here! Located near the foothills, worthy of a reservation and a little map... More

Okay, well I'm Italian so this was a hard one as I tend to be very harsh. Ambience is a little loud but fun loud just not romantic quiet . Bread service was only okay - focaccia was not super fresh and should have had some oil dip (had butter only). App had cauliflour and was good but should have... More

Description
We’ve turned a modern lens on traditional Italian cooking. North Italia is our love letter to Italy—a place that’ll make you feel like you’ve stepped off a charming side street to discover a culinary gem. After a decade in business, we’ve learned a thing or two and we’re approaching perfection in the art of handmade pasta and pizza. Every day, we start from scratch to create dishes like Strozzapreti with Bloomsdale spinach or supple ribbons of tagliatelle for our Bolognese. Our pizza is a revelation: an airy, barely chewy center embraced by a perfectly crisp crust. With the spirit of the Italian taverna, North is the place to talk shop over a cocktail or swap gossip sharing delectable chef creations.Every neighborhood would be lucky to have a place like North.
