The chicken is cooked and sliced. It has absolutely NO FLAVOR!! It doesn't taste like anything at all! Not anything like the jerk chicken that they selling dinner (which is actually tasty). You also don't get very much chicken for it to cost $16.00. Just the equivalent of a chicken breast. It is waaaaay overpriced.

Chef/Owner Nigel Spence has kept the standard of this cozy Westchester gem. The banana boat was especially tasty and filling. Jerk Rib Eye steak tender and full of flavour. A mango monitored or red stripe beer always goes well.

This an amazing unkept secret to many local people. While the cuisine is island based you will see every nationality enjoying a glass of Rum Punch. Every dish is mouthwatering and their mango salsa is to live for. Remember to make your reservations and be on time. This small restaurant is full of love. Bring your entire family and prepare... My husband and I love the food and drinks here. Being of Caribbean descent it gives us a taste of home. Only drawback is that the service is super slow. But when you finally get the food, it is more than worth the wait.

Local looking place with a small and excellent menu. Plantain stuffed with cod fish , fantastic. Jerk chicken, authentic and very filling! Rastapasta good but needs to be spicer. Excellent drinks and friendly service (albeit slow!!)

Authentic Jamaican kitchen. Food was delicious and we loved the ambiance. There are no signs out front so be on the look out. Like a not-so-secret local spot but really worth the visit. Reasonably priced menu. My only minor quibble is the very friendly staff is painfully, painfully slow. Also took a long time at the bar to order a... More

This restaurant may not present the best ambience but the food here is amazing and definitely worth every penny. The rum punch is also excellent. I have tried many dishes from the menu and I have not been disappointed.

Ripe is not the easiest place to find but when you find it: Delicious I have been to Ripe several time for business and to unwind. The food is outstanding particularly the Big A Jerk Steak! The steak is huge and delicious as good as some much higher priced NYC steakhouses. The service can be hit and miss sometimes the... More

It looks like a hole in the wall. When you enter, you immediately feel like you are in Jamaica. The food is great. It's small. There is a place to eat outside as well as inside. Great drinks.
