We eat here quite often. Like a typical teppanyaki restaurant they cram you in at the tables. BUT, if you don't want to watch the show, you can order the same meal and sit in the main dining room in a booth. Sushi is adequate, other appetizers are good.

When we arrived, a large party had left because they said out loud that it was taking too long to get their food. I was looking forward to some Hibachi. My rice was undercooked and crunchy.

So fresh and flavorful. Wasabi was fresh and creamy not pasty. Rush cooked to perfection. Excellent service. A must visit.

See reviews for the West Side location. Presuming these are under the same ownership/management, suspect you will not be disappointed.

After trying the Teppanyaki, and loving it, we decided to try the traditional area. We ordered the lunch bento boxes (salmon & chicken) and we were surprised at the amount of food. We upgraded to the fried rice, and it was completely worth it. Some restaurants like this skimp on the portions, so I really appreciated not leaving hungry. Plus,... More

We went here last weekend for happy hour and tempanyaki dinner. Service was great and the food was delicious and large quantity. The tempanyaki show was not very good. This was the first time our grandkids saw the show and they were not impressed at all. They liked the food and ate well but were disappointed in the preparation. We... More

The food specials at Happy hour were great. Can't wait to try the Teppanyaki. It seemed everyone had a reservation for it though... think ahead

We were celebrating my daughters' 13th birthday and wanted to try Teppanyaki for the first time. We reserved a grill table for 7 and arrived to 4 seats available. Squeezed chairs in...we had a wonderful red headed waiter that took our order and was courteous and attentive. When the Teppanyaki guy came, which took a while....his "name" was Cowboy, everything... We used to eat Hibachi very often in Houston but just haven't looked for a place in SA. Recently we looked for hibachi and found this place. When we went, it was still happy hour so I had a couple large Sapporo's with my dinner. The three of us ate hibachi and were the only ones at the table. My... More

Hon Machi provided us with an average at best sushi experience. I am far from being a sushi snob. I will not rush back.
