We were a large group and the table had been pre-booked. The atmosphere was very quiet as it was a Sunday evening. The service was good, the food was ok and the margaritas were excellent. Nicely decorated.

We had just checked in with friends at our hotel and were looking for something close and walkable for dinner. Ochoa was recommended by the hotel bartender. We were seated immediately and received prompt and friendly service. The menus were a bit confusing compounded by...More

We ate here several times during our stay at the Hotel Indigo which is just across the river. The service was excellent, as were the cocktails, and the churros are not to be missed!

Has a table outside, very pleasant surroundings. Disappointed with the food. The "Cubano" sandwich did not get up to mediocre. Nondescript mash of brown meat (did not resemble pulled pork), bland sauce, a small chunk of dry ham, on a bun that did not take...More

The atmosphere was nice but the food was very mediocre. It was bland. We had a bottle of wine so I can't attest to the bar tender or mixed drinks. But our server did bring us the wrong bottle of wine. This is a nice...More

I love the location and view Ocho has to offer, however, the food is seriously lacking. I gave it a try, even after reading poor reviews, and was sadly disappointed. Straight away, staff was aloof and did not seem to care that guests had arrived...More

We were so excited about hitting the Ocho after hearing so much about it. Perhaps it was just an off day (Saturday at 5:30pm) for the wait staff that we had. She was apparently pre-occupied, not at all friendly, and did very little to encourage...More

Needing cocktails and a light supper before attending the Tobin Center, my husband and I were pointed in the direction of the Hotel Havana- what a beautiful spot! We enjoyed appetizers and margaritas- wonderful flavors and excellent service. The food has a sophisticated Cuban flair...More

I love this spot, it has such a cute interior! The drinks and food are great. The view on the riverwalk is really great. Definitely make this one of your stops!

Best bit of Ocho is the basement bar. Food comes from the restaurant, but the staff is friendly, it is dark, and laid back. Great cocktails and good music. Definitively a place to visit while in SA.

Is a fusion between Cuban and Mexican. It was hard for me to find a dish that was not spicy. The tostones were not as crispy as Cuban tostones. Like others said look at their menu on web site. When we went the waitress was... More

Description
Inspired by the union of old and new worlds, Ocho at Hotel Havana offers two unique spaces for dining and drinks on the Museum Reach of the River Walk in San Antonio. The upstairs Ocho dining room, situated in a glass and steel conservatory reminiscent of a birdcage, opens onto the river and offers seating both indoors and outdoors. The downstairs lounge provides a dimly candlelit gathering place with velvet couches and antique leather club chairs suited for intimate meetings and secret rendezvous. Ocho at Hotel Havana presents a food, cocktail and wine menu that is rooted in the hotel's pan-Latin cultural influences. Ocho offers inventive menus for breakfast (voted among the Best in Texas by Texas Monthly Magazine), lunch, dinner and late night to be served in-room, on the patio or in the upstairs lounge.
