We really enjoyed our visits here. Service, food and cocktails were all well above average. Good food is not a guarantee in San Antonio, but Liberty Bar was consistently good each time we went.

We needed a place for lunch that was relatively quiet and Liberty was perfect! Fast service, great food and the perfect atmosphere.

This is a really great space. NOTE: If you are here for a conference/convention, this is a great short stop away from the icky Riverwalk! This former church has lots of atmosphere and a great local crowd! By the way, the prices in here are FANTASTIC! The Happy Hour drinks and menu were fantastic! We tried a couple of great... More

Get the coconut custard dessert. That's my first piece of advice. The food is good and ambience is terrific, but yeah. Coconut custard.

This place seems to have been converted from an old church or something like that. You can get that feel with the simple conversion they have done to make it look like a restaurant. A major grill and bar provide all types of grilled meat and vegetables. Happy hour is the best as you can get half-price drinks and local... More

Great happy hour 5-7 pm, half price appetizers and they are good, at least the two we had. We had the minguichi which I couldn't stop eating. The Chile relleno was also very good. The ensalada bandera had a delicious dip with the vegetables. Our main entre was the roasted lamb plate, again ver tasty. There was one thing that... More

Love the new location in King William. Beautiful building, ample parking. Menu is extensive, modern, interesting yet very reasonable. Half-priced wines on Mondays, great options. Interesting local beers. Delicious food, decent service (seemed a little understaffed). Highly recommend.

It is a bright cheery place to eat. They have several rooms. I was especially impressed with the interesting wallpaper. As for my lunch, I had a chicken salad sandwich and potato salad. The chicken salad would have been tastier if they left out the spicy mustard maybe added some red grapes or walnuts. Never heard of mustard in chicken... More

A memorable meal. The bread is homemade and delicious. Serving sizes are not huge, but large enough to fill your belly, and the preparation is outstanding. Service was very friendly and helpful for a first-time visitor. I definitely recommend the roasted lamb plate and the desserts.

As a recommendation from an Inn keeper we decided to goto the Liberty. It's was hopping for a Monday Night. Good vibe good atmosphere. We didn't have reservations but were seated in 15-20 minutes. Daniel our waiter was fun and knowledgeable. I almost always get a rib eye if on the menu.....and there was. Marbling was perfect and it was... More
