Don't know why people get excited about this place. My enchiladas were mediocre and my wife's tortilla soup was not tasteful. My sister in laws poblano soup was not any better. Only thing good are the flour tortillas that the have. Will be a while...More

We have been going to Alamo Cafe for years as we love their fresh, handmade flour tortillas and dip them in a bowl of Queso which is the best in San Antonio. We can make a meal off of this with a cold Tetate beer....More

Love this place; second time I've been here. The service was fantastic, food was the best. Right by the medical center so close to where we stayed. Opened till 11PM during the week, most places were closed at 9PM. Quick, friendly service and the price...More

Great place to grab some puffy tacos, chips and queso, and hot and fresh tortillas with butter! Staff was friendly. Way better than river walk and mercado "mexican food" that they slap on a plate feed the tourist that dont know any better.

This place is beyond great! The fact we didn't have to wait for some of San Antonio's best chips and salsa is awesome. They have the salsa waiting and the chips coming in hot and fresh. The fajitas are great and are a top choice!!
