We ended up here because we intended to go to the barbecue joint across the street but the line was too long. I wish we had just kept driving. Mediocre at best.

This place has a nice atmosphere and the waiters are very good but unfortunately the food lacks flavor. Ordered a chicken enchilada plate and found the food quite bland. Typical Mexican restaurants at least add comino for flavor but I tasted little in the rice or the sauce they put on the enchiladas. I found the salsa too hot and... More

We went here for dinner and had a lovely meal. The Owner/manager and wait staff were very pleasant and made the dining experience quite enjoyable. The food was very good and service was good too.

Used to be a favorite for friends, husband and I. Was served rancid lettuce and guacamole on all three of our entree plates (they had to have known as the lettuce was yellow and wilted and the guacamole was gray!), and being served our entrees before our appetizer. Sparse tomatoes, cheese and veggies and no rice and beans served with... More

San Antonio is know for its Tex Mex food, but for those of us who prefer more of an interior style, Picante Grill is the place to go. The style of Mexican food is much closer to what you will find in Oaxaca or Mexico City. Their Chili en Nogada is as good as you can get! Also, the 7... More

The meals were not as good as previous visits. Caserola Mexicana had too much cheese and too little pabalano peppers, was pretty tasteless. Vegetarian enchiladas were very good, with fresh spinach.

Sorry to say, hate doing this. One server for whole restaurant. Waited at least 15 minutes for tortillas and at least another 15 minutes for check. Never came by to ask how things are. And then they wanted to charge me $1 more for sauce on my enchiladas. This is a first. Food very bland. Place run down, hole in... More

We visited the Witte Museum and chanced lunch here. Attentive and professional wait staff. Choice of poblano, Mexicana or Chipotle sauce on a spinach enchilada with very fresh green beans and roasted potatoes.

Average Tex-Mex for this town. Food is good; however, this facility is in dis-repair and needs to be refurbished. The dining room is dark and dingy. The parking lot is dark at night and the sign is burnt out.... After dark, it looks like a place to get mugged or get your car broken in to. The food was okay;... More
