We made reservations for their parade viewing package. We made our reservations late so we had indoor dining with seats on the river to watch the parade. They do have reservations available for tables outside to view the parade but I'm not certain how early you need to make those reservations to secure those tables. They had buffet dining with... First of all, the atmosphere when you sit outside is just the best - right on the River Walk, seeing people and boats pass by, hearing strolling musicians. The margaritas were top noch. Then the food - very fresh and delicious. I had the selection of three salsas (roja, verde, and street) and chips, and then the street tacos, very... More

Having a nice lunch with friends while sitting at the railing of the river on a sunny can't be described anything else but a nice experience. The waiter was elusive and seemed overburdened, the food was very good and well presented. The overall experience was nothing to really rave about and nothing to really complain about. It was a good... More

We sat at the table and after 10 minutes a very rude waiter came to our table, we left right away to the place right next to this one. I would never recommend this place.

We tried several Tex-Mex restaurants on the river and contrary to the reviews, Rio Rio was average at best. The $2. chips & Salsa apps were humongous, but the salsas were underwhelming. While the fajita special on Monday was fine, the enchilada was undercooked. Overall, I expected much more from this hearalded Riverwalk location.

Tex-Mex at it's best! The food, as always, was delicious. The margaritas weren't the best (very weak) but the have really good Horchata.

Me and my family wanted to sit on the table of 4 on the riverside and the waitresses told us that we couldn't sit on a table of 4, we were 4 so I told her that we were going to sit in 2 different tables and she started yelling at us so I just left don't ever consider going... More

Wife and I visited this place for dinner. The hostess was rude in that she ignored us to have a conversation with one of her buddies, who worked there. Our waiter was nice and attended to us promptly. Stinks having to pay for chips and salsa ( salsa did have flavor though). I got the street tacos. The al pastor... More

Way better than chips with salsa, their daily prepared crispy chicharrones with salsa are amazing! I had their smoke on the river drink, my first time having mezcal, and it was delicious. I have been wanting to taste mezcal and this was the ipetus to do so. I'll definitely be back to taste more of their mezcal.

Tex-Mex restaurant nested on the river walk with first rate Margaritas, chip with choices of salsa to your choice of heat. Tacos that get washed down with an assortment of local beers. Worth the visit folks, worth the visit.
