The Acadiana Cafe is my mothers favorite place to eat when we are in San Antonio! It's always friendly and the staff is always great. Tonight they were short staffed. I had to ask for help at the wait station several times. The food was great. We had the appetizer platter. It was so good! Well seasoned and lots of... More

Jocamo was good and the cornbread great! The atmosphere is homey and the staff is friendly and professional. I ordered a side of black-eyed peas and was very disappointed in the size of the dish. There were three tablespoons at best. Prices are reasonable except for side dishes.

Had a craving for Cajun food, so we popped on over. Maybe my expectations were high, but I still think hot food should be served at least WARM. My crawfish etouffe was lukewarm. My wife's French fries were downright cold. My grilled catfish was mushy and lukewarm. C'mon...the house was nearly full so there is no need to serve old... More

Unique cajun home cooking place. I love their shrimp boil. Their Fried catfish never dissapoints. The cajun nachos are great to share. I hardly ever resist the fried pickles. Their veggie side choices are nice, broccolli with cheese, cabbage, red beans and rice many more. Also, you MUST get a cornbread!

On the other side of town but whenever I am near I stop in for a meal. I usually get red beans and rice with sausage. Corn bread on the side.

After living in Baton Rouge and southern Mississippi for years, I'm always inclined to try cajun/creole cooking outside of the area. My thoughts after dining there on a quiet Friday night (not many customers around 8pm, which might have been a warning) were that this was San Antonio-style cajun rather than the real thing. Service was good - the server... More

The best homestyle chicken in dumplings in San Antonio. The fried pickles are also the best in town.

Place is quite large but not crowded on a Monday night. We each ordered something different-seafood gumbo, talapia, vegetarian platter, and popcorn shrimp. We each liked our meal. Food came out hot and freshly made. The hush puppies were the best I've had in a long time. This is not gourmet food but prepared very well. The portions were large... More

Just mediocre food. Price was reasonable. Service was good. The atmosphere has an old feel to it, not a hip or trendy restaurant. A woman was selling jewelry at a table in the waiting room which I found strange, I can't imagine many people would choose this as a place to shop. They do have an alligator statue in the... More
