This was a very good fish and seafood place but closed several months ago, when the owner/chef decided to open another, higher level restaurant, Signature..

Mixed bag. The first time I went was with someone who knew the staff and management well; a wine rep. hey treated us like gold and the food was great. Quite awhile later we went on Valentines day. There were no prices on the menu....More

We celebrated our 20th Anniversary at Sandbar. The food was excellent as well as service. The fish & chips is amazingly good!

We went here because they so far were the only restaurant in San Antonio that had raw Oysters from Prince Island, Martha's Vineyard or basically the North East. Well, to my wives disappointment they didn't have that. We weren't really sure where these oysters were...More

I waited a long time to eat here because I needed a good enough occasion. I'm no food expert but I was served what should have been roasted cauliflower but which looked liked a blackened mess. I would have been embarrassed to serve this on...More

Crispy Norwegian salmon with shallot and red wine reduction was something to write home about. Great dish. Friends at our table also gave high marks to the fish and chips.

Way too expensive for oysters . The fruit tray looks way too heavy for the servers. The iced tea a d coffee service is nice. The desserts are good too.

Seems like a new business that needs some time to get going. Make sure your wine is fresh. Small place and not busy when we went. Ceviche was just ok. Fried plantains that came with it were good service slow. Cool decor.

Small, lovely & quiet, featuring the freshest upscale seafood. Owned by famous local chef Andrew Weissman.

No - the Sandbar does not have "several chicken and beef" dishes - they have a few. Further - the Zagat raters and Ed Tijerina obviously have never had the Fish and Chips - they are terrible. Way too much breading and... More
