We were early, so we stopped in at the wine bar next door, which serves local wines. The restaurant itself is low-ceilinged and homey. 6 in our group, comfortably seated. Service excellent and friendly. I had posole and tamales (!) which were great. The tres leches cake was awesome. The margaritas were really good, and I think they must use... More

We arrived in Santa Fe and stopped in for dinner late. Drinks were good, food was better. Loved the blue corn enchiladas, and the mole chicken dish. We relaxed, enjoyed and will return soon!

We ate Christmas lunch at Casa Chimayo. We'd heard a lot of great things, so expectations were high. They had an interesting holiday menu which included a chipotle glazed turkey breast, stuffing, sweet potatoes and green beans. Here's the problem...it was freaking cold...inside the restaurant and the food. The weather was windy and snowy which caused the power to go... More

Our hotel staff highly recommended this restaurant as a great place to dine. We, however, were looking for a late not spot for drinks and snacks. We stopped by and told our waitress what we were looking for. The menu was designed for full dining not drinks and snacks. That was no problem for our waitress. She brought us something... More

We had a bit of a wait, however, there is a great waiting area where I played chess with my kids. The chips and salsa were excellent and we ordered the blue corn tortilla enchiladas and chile rellenos. The kids had tacos and ate every spec! The wait staff was kind and courteous and we met the owner when we... More

Last week we had a reunion of family & friends in Santa Fe. Our special dinner this year was at Casa Chimayo. It is a charming & attractive pueblo style building (adorned with luminarios) across Guadalupe Street from the Hilton. The atmosphere is genuine New Mexico decor with the added attraction of many beautiful classic woven Chimayo blankets. The staff... More

Go only if you don't want a margarita, if you do like bland & lukewarm food. I guess this is what Diners, Drive-ins & Dives calls a dive, since they were here.

We had a dinner here as I've seen somebody recommending it on TV. Unfortunately I can't remember who... (I thought it was Anthony Bourdain but apparently it's not...) The food was traditional New Mexican which in my opinion is not as tasty as Mexican food. The service was friendly although not that effective.

My husband and I were trolling around for places to eat desserts at and we happen to land at this place. I am totally glad we did because we came back the following day for lunch and it was the best thing ever. I ordered the burger and my husband the burrito-- we were blown away by the explosions of... Surprisingly large inside with a secret patio separate entrance. Free Parking lot across the street We went for Thanksgiving dinner and I'm sure you are wondering why a Mexican restaurant on the holiday. Chile Cranberry Turkey breast was a special and it was yummy! A traditional holiday dinner with a spicy twist. One major disappointment was that they serve no... More
