It was a very busy day Fiestas de Santa Fe, the wait was pretty short (about 20 min.) we had a delicious taco salad and sopaipias!

My wife, my kids and I went with some friends and their kids to the plaza and decided to have dinner. We had our name on the list at one restaurant but decided to call the famous plaza cafe. We called and explicitly asked if...More

Stopped in for Sunday morning Breakfast. Place was almost full. Receptionists were efficient and friendly. Ordered a greek omelet and it was bland and tasteless and hash browns were undercooked -- abbsolutely no seasonings. My husband had huevos rancheros and he said his was pretty...More

We have visited santa fe many times and no trip is complete without a meal at the Plaza Cafe. Everybody is happy with their food, the service is excellent and friendly and there's a wide variety to choose from. We love the turkey club and...More

We were looking for a restaurant around the Santa Fe Plaza and the visitor center recommended it as a typical city restaurant. It is a very touristic and crowded Mexican restaurant but good. We had the Street Taco: it seemed to be original.

What a delight to have met Valentin our extra ordinary waiter. Combine his exceptional service with awesome—-and I do mean, awesome food—-and you cannot go wrong. In fact, the place is above average on more levels than I can list here. Try it out for...More

Excellent vibe, great service and the food is hearty and delish! We had the breakfast burrito, pancakes (huge), and bagels. We're coming back tonight for dinner! Don't hesitate!

We stumbled on to this place a few years ago after reading TA reviews. It is right on the square so we make it a lunch/dinner stop each time we are in Santa Fe. Menu is great for families. Have always gone with the traditional...More

On this trip we got our first bad entre. My wife ordered a chopped salad which she has always loved before. They absolutely ruined it with too much dressing on it. The rest of the food was outstanding like it always is. The desserts are...More

I'm so glad you and your wife are regulars -- thank you for your review. I'm sorry we disappointed you with too much dressing -- please know that we're happy to put it on the side next time. We hope to see you again soon!...More

Sometimes a reputation drives the profits of a restaurant more than the food itself. I felt that way with this restaurant. This restaurant seems to be elevated to a status that transcends how good it actually is, which I guess is a good thing because...More

Thanks for stopping in, Sam -- I'm so very sorry we disappointed you in the way of food and service. I'm just shocked, because our enchiladas are normally well loved, and I know our staff to be attentive. If you ever find a dish so...More

There are a few breakfast items available all day -- I believe the Traditional Breakfast being one of them which was my favorite -- two eggs, sausages/bacon, toast and hash browns (have them made crispy) --too die for!!!

Description
The Plaza Cafe on the Santa Fe Plaza is a historic restaurant that has reopened after a fire in Sep 2010. It is the dining hub on the Plaza. It reopened last week and I would like to write a review of my experience. Joe Shaffer
