I had a BLTA that included nice thickly sliced bacon, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and ripe avocado. Nothing fancy, just simple with good quality ingredients. The service was fast and friendly. Very kid friendly.

Popped in for dinner in this cafe located on the town square. It is billed as the oldest restaurant in Santa Fe. The food was very good and the waitstaff was attentive but unobtrusive.

Oldest restaurant in Santa Fe. Great breakfast and desserts. Red velvet cake was the best ever. Also salads were top notch as well.

Wandered in after a long day of shopping. I had a wonderful stuffed sopapia. Others had chicken fried steak w brown gravy. Had a wonderful taste of sage in the gravy. Sounds weird but it worked. Another had a burger. It was so good we came back the next day and three ordered burgers and I got stuffed green chili... More

Ate here one morning while in Santa Fe. I had the breakfast burrito and my wife had the made in house cinnamon roll. Both were very good. Service was good as well. We'd eat here again.

Mixed experiences for us. Being winter, the cafe was about a third full. The welcome was good, the service was excellent. I enjoyed the fajita I ordered, but my wife was disappointed with the Greek item she ordered. Maybe just bad luck on her part for ordering the wrong thing, as it had been well prepared. We'd go again, which... More

We come here every time we're in town. Scratch made everything!!! Many gluten free options that are not just a bunch of no flavor stuff! It is delicious!! We've had many things on the menu and like them all. The coconut cream pie is GF and is really really good. I'm serious! It is the best, GF or not. The... More

This café is a Santa Fe institution, being located right on the historic plaza. It has been recently renovated, but the high quality remains the same. The café does not take reservations and can be quite busy. However, turnover is relatively fast and the short wait is worth the inconvenience. Excellent New Mexico cuisine in an informal setting. Try the... More

We went to breakfast on a Friday morning around 9 am. I don't know if this is before or after the breakfast rush.....if they have a rush.....but the service was a little slow considering they weren't very busy. We had an average breakfast here (BK Tacos and Relleno Omelet) but what was impressive was the amazing display of cakes we... More

Thanks for stopping by The Plaza Cafe Downtown for breakfast. I understand waiting longer than anticipated is never ideal, and I'm sorry this was the case. It's likely we were understaffed when you stopped by, and I hope your next visit runs more smoothly. Also, I'd be delighted to hear what you think about our desserts! Thanks for your time,... More

Description
The Plaza Cafe on the Santa Fe Plaza is a historic restaurant that has reopened after a fire in Sep 2010. It is the dining hub on the Plaza. It reopened last week and I would like to write a review of my experience. Joe Shaffer
