On our way back from a Sante Fe sightseeing drive we rode past this restaurant. Our driver remarked how good this place was and told us about their famous green Chile burgers. Our crew was hungry and it did smell delish so we wandered over...More

This restaurant is in the heart of the old city, a short walk from the square. You can get all the New Mexican favourites, but their specialty is their burgers. They are rated as being in the top five in the country! Try it with...More

I ate here 31 May 2017 and had been anticipating my experience for years, upon following reviews from TA. See my prior review from May 2017. I gave explicit instructions to my wait staff on how I wanted the meat cooked, and still did not...More

We came to Santa Fe from Denver Colorado to get married in early October and tried the Santa Fe Bite on the day we left for the balloon festival in Albuquerque. Our server was awesome, a Packers Fan, but we didn't hold that against her...More

I had the green chile cheeseburger - medium rare, it was as expected and has a great kick to it. Great location in old town, nice diner and offers a variety if New Mexican meals.

We selected this establishment while in Santa Fe based on the positive TA reviews. However, our experience wasn't quite up to the hype. First of all, this is a diner experience and you shouldn't expect anything beyond that from an ambiance standpoint. It is clean...More

Green chili cheeseburger is great! We enjoyed the atmosphere, and while our waitress wasn’t particularly friendly or attentive, the other waitstaff was very nice. Fun things to look at.

the green chili cheeseburgers are exceptional as well as the huge plate of home cooked thick cut potato chips. A fine lunch!

We went to Santa Fe for the day to see the Fall colors in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. On the way there we stopped at the Santa Fe Bite for burgers. Two of us had the 6 oz burger, one of us had the...More

The atmosphere is friendly and now that the Bite has moved into Santa Fe (it used to be Bobcat Bite on Old Las Vegas Highway) it's more spacious and comfortable. Most importantly, the food is always outstanding, especially of course the green chile cheeseburger. Medium...More

Sorry, I thought I was replying to a reviewer's post. Didn't know how this thing worked. I'd like to remove the question but can't.

Description
The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am Saturday and Sunday which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, Steak & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.
