We've been here many times over the years with couples and with organizations for special events. The food quality has ranged from disappointing to superb. The service is somewhat wanting. The wine list is good, but a bit expensive for the Italian offerings. These reservations notwithstanding, its one of the better Italian choices available in Santa Fe.

Happy to be seated in the right corner..and surrounded with beautiful murals from Italian scenes. Also the night we were there there was a piano player. The service was excellent. The wine list quite extensive. And the food was sublime.......Their fresh pasta is as good as any trattoria you would find in Italy! We also tried their tiramisu. A Winner!... More

We have been to Osteria many times, and have given it excellent reviews. Not today! It was dinner for Mothers' Day, but the restaurant was only 2/3 full. It started with the wine order - we wanted to know the year of their Montepulciano. The server asked if we wanted to order first, and have her later find out. She... More

We came here (10 of us) for lunch; service was good and the food was hot, fresh and generous. Good Italian in a quiet location - two thumbs up!

We loved the building and our greeting by the host. We were promptly introduced to our waiter who said he was the brother of the owner. We discussed our travels and made a wine selection. We then ordered our food with advice from Pietro. Food was well served and we enjoyed it with our wine. Servers were gracious. Our salad... More

Had not eaten here in a while and glad we chose to return. Had made reservations through Open Table and our server asked immediately if we had a preference on seating. Sat near fireplace as it was a cold day. They have a very good wine list both by the glass and bottle. My husband had a Montepulciano and I... More

We stopped here at 2:30 and we were given the brunch menu. The waitress was very courteous and mentioned the restaurant closes at 2:30 and reopens for supper at 4:30. Although the brunch menu looked very good, we chose to finish our errands and come back for supper. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent beyond words. We... More

We went for lunch one day and cancelled reservations at our dinner place to eat there that night with friends. Try the Funghi w/black truffle oil,, but no matter what you choose it is wonderful! Homemade pasta too!

I've visited Osteria at least half a dozen times over the past year. Each experience delivers consistency, stellar service, and impeccable pairings of wine and cuisine. Tonight's visit was made special by the green chili and Kobe beef pizza. Sadly I learned this stellar dish will soon be stricken from the menu. I'm grateful the food gods held favor for... More

We ordered pizza for an appetizer. Coming from NY we had high expectations which were met by the delicious pizza. Two people ordered the lasagne special. Both said it was good. I ordered the veal scallopine which was very tasty. Another member ordered the salmon special. All the dinners arrived hot except the salmon plate. The fish was hot. The... More

Description
Osteria d'Assisi was opened in 1995, in a renovated home in the historic downtown district of Santa Fe. The restaurant is named after the city of Santa Fe's patron saint, Saint Francis, who was born in the town of Assisi in Italy. Osteria d'Assisi features regional Italian cuisine, utilizing the time honored Mediterranean approach to preparing food with olive oil and fresh ingredients. Our menu includes fresh seafood, locally grazed beef, veal and lamb, house made pasta, fresh bread baked daily, gourmet pizza and creative desserts.
