We read about the place in the paper and went for brunch a few days later. The restaurant is now called the San Marcos Cafe, but it is indeed attached to a feed store and peacocks are all around the building. Nice dinning area and...More

Went with a friend for breakfast but very close to closing time which affected the freshness of their outstanding cinnamon rolls. Had the cheese blintzes and my friend had the gazpacho. Both were really good. Hate to say it but what freaked us out were...More

Great food....tons of character...peacocks roaming in back yard. I always take guests here and everyone has liked it.

The food here is good, typical, small town New Mexico fare. Add in the fresh baked goods, kind service and reasonable prices...no wonder this place has hung in there for years! Best of all, the most magnificent peacocks put on a show time after time....More

Living so close to this restaurant, I’m not sure why I haven’t tried it before. We were craving good pancakes so we decided to go check it out. Unfortunately they don’t serve pancakes but the cinnamon roll was delicious! My daughter had the huevos rancheros...More

This cafe is well worth the drive out of Santa Fe. Remember, only open 10-2. Had the Eggs San Marcos. Unbelievable. Love the green Chile’s on eggs. Have a cinnamon role. Great coffee and service. Amazing food. Not inexpensive but worth it.

It's a good place to eat when you're on the way to Madrid. Country atmosphere and friendly service and parking is no problem.

This place has become one of our favorite breakfast places when we don't feel like fighting the crowds at some of the more popular spots like The Pantry or Tia Sophia. The huevos rancheros are delicious. The red and green chile has great flavor though...More

Loved the place. Its got character. Wood, color, fun. Quail racing around outside. Food was A-1. Tortillas were soft and fresh, piping hot, great French toast light and tasty. Chile!!!! Crispy bacon. Other than that we hated it.

Yes there is. Newman’s nursery is about 5 miles north on the same side of road as San Marcos.
