My friend wanted us to try Tecolote for breakfast prior to departing the city for our last stop during our vacations in New Mexico as Tecolote was a prize winner since 2016. The bread basket was loaded with a variety of fresh muffins and biscuits....More

We live in ABQ and dine at The Range In Bernalillo often and I couldn’t help compare.. The breads, coffee, potatoes were fair. Potatoes were greasy. Carne Adovada was good, not great. Amazed at the reviews, very disappointed. Service was wonderful.

We really enjoyed our meal today. It was our first time since Tecolote moved from its old location. Its not that far out of the way and is worth re-visiting. This restaurant is much much bigger than the old one and that eliminates some of...More

Somebody recommend this restaurant and it was even better than expected. I had a delicious spinach omelette with a cheese sauce and my sister had the pancakes. My brother in law is a fan of burritos and he said they were awesome. But where they...More

Now I have one more Spanish word: Tecolote means Owl. More to the point, it means good food, friendly service, and a big clean restaurant. Good chance of getting a table at busy time. Let me repeat other reviews: Order the Bakery Basket! Adds some...More

We found this place when we drove by The Pantry and the line was out the door. The parking lot was full here, too, but we got right in. There is a lot more seating than it looks like from the storefront. There was a...More

Excellent service! Excellent food and plenty of it. Mr Wings had a stack of 2 blue corn pancakes and couldn't finish them both. I had the special, an open face omelet. Both were outstanding.

Tecolote Cafe was started in 1980 by Bill and Alice Jennison with a desire to feed guests great meals, affordably, with superior service. Mr. Bill and Alice's recipes have been pleasing palettes for 31 years. In May of 2010, sadly, we lost Mr. Bill after a long and accomplished life. Since August 2010, Katherine Adkins (Bill and Alice's daughter) and her husband Matt Adkins have been doing their best to honor Mr. Bill and Ms. Alice's vision in carrying on the family business. Sadly we also lost Ms.Alice in December of 2012. We offer a varied menu focusing primarily on New Mexican breakfast and lunch cuisine, as well as some American favorites. We bake all of our breads in house as well as our muffins and biscuits contained in our bakery basket. A little known secret to our great burgers? Fresh baked Kaiser rolls to vehicle our superb patties and ingredients. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, we are sure you will be pleased with our delectable choices and our warm, friendly atmosphere. If you aren't, just let us know so we can make your experience everything you hoped for!Katie and I can't wait to see you on your next visit. So, come on in, and remember, we serve "Great breakfast, No toast!", just for you.
