We wanted dinner on a busy Santa Fe weekend ...El Meson was near the hotel and had an open table. It had good reviews on TA, so we made a reservation. The restaurant was very well appointed. It was busy. The staff was friendly and...More

We lived in Madrid for 3 years and when we discover El Meson, we fell in love with it! It brought back so many memories of the quaint restaurants around Plaza Mejor and all throughout Madrid. El Meson had the same charm and ambiance of...More

El Meson has long been a favorite restaurant to dine at when traveling to Santa Fe. The food was very good during our recent meal. We focused on appetizers/tapas. Both soups were excellent - wild mushroom bisque and gazpacho. Then my husband and I shared...More

The service is poor and the food is mediocre. After being seated we asked the waiter what the soup of the day was and he lazily refused to answer saying "there's a lot of specials, I will go into my schpeal once everyone gets here"...More

We find El Meson to have consistently great tapas, nice wine, good service. This time, with friends, we had a very nice gazpacho, several tapas including delicious lamb chops, shrimp, artichoke hearts and more. And for dessert the flan was excellent - very smooth, very...More

Wonderful meal: mushroom soup, steamed mussels, Serrano ham with figs, seafood paella. Yum !! Great, very attentive service. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

We come here often and usually sit at the bar. We started with the butter lettuce salad with blue cheese, pine nuts and serrano ham. Then shared crab croquettes, fried oysters, and lamb brochettes. Plenty of food, always delicious!

Not sure about what time the music starts. I do not believe there is a charge for the flamenco but the performances are in the bar portion of the building and I have only dined in the restaurant portion. I would call the... More

Hi! I wanted to dine in the Bar and go tapa crazy but the rest of our party wanted the main dining room. It is quieter and we still went tapa crazy. Enjoy!
