We went to Uncle Buck's after our visit to Luray Caverns. It's not high end, but our sandwiches were great and dessert wonderful. The place was what you would expect in a small town and we enjoyed something local that represented the area and town well. And the prices were fair and reasonable.

We went looking for a simple meal. I ordered hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I was surprised when the "steak" came with a steak knife - turned out I needed it though! The ground beef was obviously a frozen party, and had been cooked to oblivion... Really, a restaurant cannot make a fresh hamburger patty? The potatoes and... More

There's plenty of parking around the back and plenty of great food choices on the menu. I went for breakfast and was seated in the bar area. This place evidently has a little night life to it also with a small dance floor and little disco ball. My server was real nice, my meal came out in a reasonable amount... More

Seven of us were visiting Luray Caverns and decided to have lunch in Luray. Uncle Bucks was described as a family diner so we decided to give it a try!! Plenty of unpaved parking in the rear and the building looked old but we went in as I like "mom and pop" restaurants. Cozy! The menu offered a variety of... More

They gave us good service, the food was good, and the prices were quite fair. We would go again if ever in the area.

Went here for dinner and everything was okay, came back for breakfast and was very disappointed. Ordered a med-well steak "10oz" got rare and 6oz of fat very poor cut of "ribeye". Asked for no butter on my toast. It was smothered in butter. One refill with no ice. Terrible experience. Left and got a Hardee's biscuit.

We like to eat at Uncle Buck's. The service is good and the food is too. The only thing I don't care for is the open roast beef sandwich. It's a too salty for me.

On a Saturday morning it's tough to find a seat at Uncle Buck's. If you want to find the place where all the local's go this is the place. This is country cooking at it's finest. Breakfast? How about a scrapple and egg sandwich? I wonder what local stream the trout is from. Breakfast Bowl has enough potatoes, sausage gravy,... More
