Where in Northern Arizona can you find an amazing French cafe, nestled in a strip mall? Well the resounding answer is Coppa Cafe. This place is hands down the best breakfast we have had in Flagstaff. With everything made fresh. The gravlaxp were great. The...More

Local ingredients, pine mousse, cactus butter, tepary bean soup, all specials with healthy lack of cream constituencies. Wish they had something like this in Illinois. Can’t wait to try lamb tortellini.

Chef Brian (owner) was friendly and gracious. Service was excellent. Food unique and very tasty. A lot of local and organics. Prices midrange for fine dining.

A limited but diverse menu that was well done. It was expensive but it was worth it. A small space in a strip mall that was well decorated.

You'd think, looking at the menu, that these people would know what they're doing. It's difficult to call. The two times I've eaten here I've been disappointed. Brunch: The chef actually had the short-sightedness to place nutmeg in the Hollandaise (I believe this was for...More

We had a wonderful dinner at Coppa Cafe. It was a nice change, after a steady offer of bbq and potatoes. Thank you!

Small unassuming storefront restaurant. But food is far from unassuming. Cactus Salad was full of surprise ingredients, and the lettuce was sweet and crisp. Very obviously not from a big bag of "spring lettuce mix". Halibut was perfectly cooked and topped a bean mixture with...More

Description
Coppa is a European-style cafe/bistro set amidst the mountains of Flagstaff serving lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. While northern Arizona might at first seem an unlikely dining destination for serious epicureans, Coppa Cafe's combination of talent and unconventional procurement methods have set the small, casual eatery atop the "can't miss" list of every discerning foodie from Phoenix to Santa Fe. Choosing to go against the grain of the franchise and chain restaurants often found in smaller-town America, husband and wife owners and chefs Brian Konefal and Paola Fioravanti instead favor house-cured meats, ingredients locally procured from nearby farms and ranches and foraged foods found in the forests around Flagstaff to incorporate into their dishes. Though their procurement methods might seem unconventional for the region, their talents are rooted in tradition, following lifelong culinary careers spent crisscrossing Europe and the U.S., Training under the tutelage of some of the finest and most decorated chefs in their respective countries. As Coppa's tagline states, the tiny, intimate venue offers "a taste of Europe in the mountains of Flagstaff," and the culinary team prides itself on providing just that through balancing local finds with progressive techniques, resulting in an unprecedented, sophisticated and pilgrimage-worthy experience.
