While visiting the Buffalo area, my wife and I decided to make a return visit as we had enjoyed the first time. Unfortunately this time turned out to be somewhat discouraging. We had reservations and was seated immediately. After that the experience went down hill. We were ignored for at least 20 minutes by the server, even though his other... More

We like to try one new restaurant a month. This was a delightful surprise. Very clean. Comfortable atmosphere. Love the bar set up. Very friendly service and helpful. They only serve beer or wine, but the options are plenty. We ordered the fried chicken, grits and greens. Yummy. Can't wait to take my husband back. Will definitely return visit.

Friends raved about Shango so we were excited. We had a party of 7. We started with pork belly appetizers and I ordered three large oysters (waitress explained the large oysters were much meatier). The pork belly arrived and was small and lacked much flavor. The oysters were actually hysterical. The shells were about 2 inches across and oysters themselves... More

We had a reservation for 4 at Shango and were seated promptly. It was a busy night as it was New Year's eve but, we received excellent service from the wait staff. I recommend the mussels appetizer. I couldn't stop eating them - there are definitely enough to share with another person for a first course. Food is of high... More

My wife and I decided to eat here after reading the menu online. I have to say we were not disappointed in any way from the greeting received when we arrived to any of the meals placed in front us. The food was plentiful and the flavor was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Our server was very cheerful and made... More

Creative menu, lots of New Orleans flavors. We enjoyed a great cup of coffee and I had stuffed French Toast. This French Toast was stuffed with brie cheese and had a wonderful rum and caramel syrup. Not too sweet but definitely sweet. My wife had two perfect poached eggs on a bed of hash browned potato cubes with peppers and... More

Had a reservation booked on a Saturday evening for 5:45pm with the anticipation that the afternoon play we were attending would end about 5:15-5:30. Play ran later than expected therefore, called Shango to say we would be about 15-20 minutes late. Lady on phone was sympathetic however, would not hold our table - we could eat at the bar. We... Great romantic spot. The food is delicious. They seem to have something for everyone. Fresh gourmet tasting. Not overpriced at all if you consider how much you spend at mediocre places, even chain places. Everything's expensive so I only bother going to places where the food is awesome.

We used to go here frequently for their Mac and cheese, oysters, meatloaf among other dishes. We brought some friends here awhile ago and felt really rushed by our server. Decided to give it another try recently and it happened again. Our server brought out our apps while we were still enjoying our soup. This is not what I would've... More

This is not authentic creole food. The food has no flavor. If you have eaten real gumbo and jumbalaya you will be insulted. I was so disappointed.
