We asked for a recommendation at the jewelry boutique we were shopping at, and they sent us here. Our meal consisted of clam chowder - very good, Caesar salad with grilled chicken - good, and seafood pot pie - a miss. The salad was very...More

If your in Newport you must visit the Moorings! It is open year round the food is delicious and the atmosphere close to the water is a treat. You can book parties, large groups or just dinner or lunch for two. You won't be disappointed.

This was my second time dining at The Mooring. The first was this winter for lunch and tonight for dinner. I had an average lunch on my first visit but I have to say my dinner was very disappointing. Their "signature" Portuguese cod dish was...More

Nice decor with good food, extensive bar and big screen TV's so we could watch playoff basketball. It is right on the main street along the water.

The Marriott is excellent.
Does their Sunday brunch include traditional brunch menu items? From the menu online it looks more like lunch than brunch: no egg dishes, etc.

I am not sure about the brunch menu as we were there for a late afternoon lunch. The view is outstanding, maybe calling ahead will give you an idea of the brunch menu items.
Could you accommodate 20 -25 for a wedding rehearsal dinner on a Thursday in June 2017.

You will have to ask them, but I know they have private dining area as we saw a large group come in the same time we arrived.
