Reserved for 7 pm. Waited for 20 mins for empty table to be set up. Had steak salad which was not generous. The waitress was good as were the drinks. Underwhelmed.

The menu isn't necessarily inventive, but the quality is very good and the staff is great. Fried lobster is terrific and the escargot is as well.
We just had drinks at the bar. The bar tender was rude and very disrespectful not only to us but other people who came in. He seems annoyed and just wanted to gossip with his friends. I would skip it.
Stopped by for a drink in the"pub" sid of this cafe. The bar is small and well stocked and very friendly! Watched some great surfer videos! Will probably go back again today!
Had a pleasant dinner during our stay in Newport. Nice interior, good quality food, great service. I wish they had more dessert choices.

Café Zelda is a charming restaurant featuring French and American cuisine. The clam chowder is outstanding. The main entrees and desserts were exceptional. Low key, comfy and welcoming. Definitely going back!
Delicious seafood, wine, and service. The grilled fish was cooked to perfection, the scallops tasty and not over-cooked/rubbery. The chowder was hot, hearty, and flavorful.
