We dined here a few times since we were staying at the QK. Twice for breakfast and twice for dinner. Lovely open-air restaurant on third floor. One night they had live music, other night was a DJ. Attentive and friendly service, delicious food, tasty and unique drinks… and the view - wow!!!

We made reservations for 6pm on a Saturday evening. Now its COVID and its also Saturday so I expected things to be a little busy. We got there a few minutes before 6 but did not get sat at our table until about 6:30. It disappointing to make reservations but still have to wait that long. They did give us a great view of Diamond Head which gave them a few brownie points. Our server, not sure her name took about 15 minutes to greet us even though she was back and forth to her other tables. She finally came and we got 2 alcoholic drinks. For the cost of the drinks you could not taste any alcohol. Drinks are between $15-$20. The food was GREAT. We ordered the Island Spice Rubbed Chicken and the Kauia Garlic Prawns. Some of the best food I have had since moving here. I definitely advise you to make a reservation if you would like to try Deck out. The view and food were great but I could have done without the drinks.

Service was great from the start. Seems to be a happening place despite COVID-19. Dinner was tasty. Had the jerk chicken which tasted great. However the dessert of key lime wasn’t good. It was more like a frozen foods cheap buy which was less like a pie than a cheap tart bought from Sams Club. Overall the wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

After eating here several times and also staying at the Queen Kapiolani my partner and I were very disappointed with our last dinner on the 13 March 2021. Granted they are just starting to come out of the year long set back of Covid but they have not trained their staff well at all. The table settings arrived on 3 occasions after the food came. The tables were not cleared of dirty dishes or glasses in a timely matter. The service was rushed, things were forgotten, glasses were dirty. The food was average, the best dish we got were the fish tacos, excellent flavor. Their signature burger was terrible, we asked for medium rear and it came well done, it was a naked burger, no picles, mo tomato, no lettuce....Nothing but a dollop of relish. We were no asked if we wanted any ketchup, or mustard. The Kale salad we had was excellent. The drinks seem watered down or left too long before Being served. Their signature favorite Liliko’i Margarita tasted like lime flavored water with no Tequila. Terrible. We were planning to come back with friends later in the week but we decided it would be too embarrassing to bring them here. We cancelled our reservation. Sorry Deck, please trading your staff better and get your kitchen back to producing consistently good food.

Enjoyed lunch for three on a Tuesday. The deck would seem to hold promise because of the contemporary design and view toward Diamond Head. Service was terribly slow and inattentive, though, despite only a few tables of customers. The Deck Burger was tasty. For the chicken & waffles, the chicken was nicely done, but the waffle wasn't. There are probably better options for outdoor dinning in Waikiki, with similar menu and better service.

We had a reservation outside and were seated on time on the balcony with a lovely view. That was the best part. After that it went downhill. On a Saturday evening, they had already run out of Markers Mark and had no real alternative. Although we asked about timing of appetizers to dinner, when we ordered and asked that we be served our cocktails, then the appetizer, and then our dinner, we received the appetizer first. Our drinks arrived about 5 minutes later and our dinners immediately following. The calamari was good, not great, but our dinners were only so so. Dinner partners airline chicken was dry and without flavor although my flatbread was fine. The wait staff was not attentive at all, and we were glad to leave.

I booked a reservation here for a large group for my birthday dinner. Even though I had a reservation they apparently didn't have a table ready for us and squished literally 10 people on such a small table that was probably only meant to accommodate 6. We barely had table space for food. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed and rushed throughout the entire experience. Food took a while to come and was just mediocre for the price. Unfortunately the waitress spilled water all over my phone at one point, which wasn't a super big deal to me, but I was surprised that she played it off completely and did not apologize or offer any additional napkins, etc. On top of things, it was my birthday and while I did not have overwhelming expectations, I felt pretty let down as large groups like mine seemed to inconvenience the restaurant more than anything else. My friend BEGGED, literally begged the waitress if I could have a birthday dessert. It was very obvious she did not want to do that but gave it anyway. It was quite uncomfortable. Additionally, everyone in my group's bill was messed up at the end of the night, even after several tries. Will definitely not dine here again, and will likely take my business elsewhere to a restaurant that can handle and easily accommodate large groups. It's quite disappointing to have a poor experience on a special occasion.

Awful experience. Appetizer came out after our meal, all four dinners came out at different times, they were out of half the items we ordered, and then had us reorder, we didn't order the first time until almost 45 minutes of being there, they FORGOT an item totally.. But don't worry they compd a dessert that we didn't even order. The manager was a joke as well. ZERO STARS.

Went here on our anniversary because of a recommendation. Yes the view of Diamond Head is gorgeous but everything else was a huge disappointment. There was a great number of “New” notations on menu and actually that made me wonder what was wrong with so many items that they felt the need to replace and create a lot of new items?! I will say my husband had the chicken and thought it was delicious. I ordered Caesar Salad and asked to have chicken added. I ended up not eating the chicken because it didn’t taste right & was barely lukewarm. Chilled or hot I’m aok with, but lukewarm causes me to wonder about food safety. Then there was the salad itself which was completely “under-dressed”, had mushy croutons and had no flavor other than what appeared to be fresh lettuce. Wait staff never came to check on our meal, ask if we wanted additional wine other than our one glass and seemed to be not at all enjoying her job or even wanting to be around people as I observed her waiting on several other guests. When making reservations it was noted we were celebrating our anniversary but no mention of that by staff, or perhaps even a gratuitous dessert to celebrate 32 years; we decided to skip viewing dessert options so I can’t address choices offered. Wine by the glass was a lackluster choice, guess if you want a nice glass of wine vs a cocktail you are at the wrong place. Skip going unless you want a cocktail on a sunny evening to view Diamond Head and go spend your money elsewhere on a dinner that makes everything worthwhile because places like that do exist in Waikiki.

We had reservations for 4 at 7:30. It took 30 minutes to get us seated. Once seated, we were told that we had 90 minutes to eat and be done because of COVID. Our waitress, Ruth, was nice and took our drink orders pretty quickly, though it took a long time to get them. The music was WAY too loud. I had 2 teenagers with me who agreed. My husband and the kids got their food, but mine took at least another 30 minutes, which really sucked since this restaurant was MY choice on MY birthday. Ruth apologized several times and discounted my entree, but we still left with a bad first impression. The food did taste good, I’ll give them that. I just expected better service for the price. I was so disappointed......and on my birthday 😕

For drinks and appetizers, this is the place to go…but if you want to have dinner here, don’t even bother…the appetizer we got was great. The entrees I got was the ribs and my husband go the shrimp and the ribs were spicy which I don’t like spicy…they never specified that they were spicy so I really didn’t get to eat them. I though maybe a desert would save the day but the cheese cake was absolutely terrible. It was burnt and dry as heck…don’t bother going here for dinner because it’s not worth it. I never really give bad reviews but this is a place I had to give a bad review at….

Made a reservation due to covid requirements. We went during happy hour. We ordered the guac, macnut butter wings, and basque cheesecake for a light dinner. The macnut wings were AMAZING. They were quite large in size and the sauce was so unique and delicious - sweet and savory. Guacamole was a bit small for the price and a little too smooth for my liking (I prefer a chunky guac). The housemade chips with the guac were pretty good but a few seemed slightly stale. The basque cheesecake was just the right size, but the middle was not as soft and gooey in the middle like it should be - was overcooked for a basque but tasted good. The creme brulee bananas were so good though! I liked them even better than the cheesecake. For drinks I tried the mai tai and lilikoi margarita and my husband had a refreshing blackberry vanilla pineapple mocktail called Awikiwiki. All the drinks were very good. Go during happy hour for the best prices. Our server Tyler was great. Super nice and attentive. Overall nice atmosphere and good view of diamond head. When we left, we walked down the stairs instead of the elevator to check out the cool hotel decor and huge paintings on the wall.

It was amazing. More than we expected! We are from Tampa and we celebrating my birthday and anniversary. This is the best restaurant we ever been. The ambience is really great, staffs are friendly and attentive, food is really really good !!!! The GM of the restaurant came out and surprise us with champagne and genuinely greeted us and later on the server gave us a dessert with “Happy Anniversary” note. I am so happy we dine and experience this place on our vacation. And yes, they have the Diamond head view. I love this place we will visit again Nextime we travel back here.

Our server Alissa was very friendly, but didn't check on us too much. The food was fantastic, but the drinks SUCKED. 1 of us got a Blue Hawaii which she said was very good. The other 3 of us tried a Mai Tai, and spit it out. We had to wait nearly 30 minutes before we saw our server again to ask for new drinks. We asked to have Blue Hawaii's as well, and when we got them they were also horrid. We had the 1 person who ordered it to begin with try it, and she gagged, and said that is gross. Mine didn't taste like that mine was good. We waited another 20 minutes before seeing our server again. Again he told her these drinks suck. She asked if we wanted something else, and we said no thanks. We were there to celebrate a Birthday, but not very good since we couldn't even celebrate with drinks.

We had a reservation for the “deck” with a beautiful view of Diamond Head in Waikiki Beach. We arrived 30 minutes early and said that we would wait for our table so that we could be on the deck. We were told that was not possible because we had a party of 5 and that the deck was only for parties of 6 or larger. We were then told that we could only be seated at a table for 4 (NOT on the deck). So the 5 of us were seated at a small table for 4 inside, not the deck, with an extra chair pulled up on the corner. Our food was ok. The appetizer of calamari was the smallest, thinnest, mainly just fried we’ve ever seen. The plate was so small. As far as main dishes - the pizza was great, the scallops were fabulous, and the prawns (out of about 7, two of them were completely empty. Awful. Burgers were pretty dry and crisp. Besides the hostess (? Casually dressed in a tank top) who just “couldn’t seat us at a table for 5 on the deck”, our server Kaylin was FABULOUS - kind and attentive. Once our food arrived and we already began eating, a different hostess (kind, wearing a hat) offered to move us to a larger table for 5. Still not in the deck, but the move was appreciated. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend The Deck - food is not worth the price despite the mainly great service.
