I always come here for the nori wrapped crabmeat ahi. The plate lunches are excellent, reasonable priced, and great portions. Parking is hard to find at lunch time. Best to pre-order and pick up.

Monarch Seafoods is a take-out place only, I believe, but it is truly outstanding! It's an out-of-the-way place near a more industrial part of Honolulu, closer to where Sand Island is located and not a place typically frequented by the tourists. They make a wide...More
I was told by a local to try out the crab stuffed mahi roll. I recommend getting it with the wasabi because it was DELICIOUS! I also had the fried butterfish and it was so good. It had really good flavor. The portion here is...More
How does Monarch only have 9 reviews? That can't be correct. Maybe the people are too busy eating to write reviews. That must be it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Monarch invented the ahi katsu because I had never seen it...More
I went here a few times. The customer service is slow. Not very friendly and not helpful except for the mature Japanese lady that makes the fried sushi. She's very nice and willing to help. The poke has no taste. Everything else is okay.

I've been here a few times. The furikake salmon is outstanding. The garlic roast pork is one of the best that I've ever eaten. My friends really enjoyed the garlic chicken and the tiger shrimp pasta. Parking is pretty much non existent so phone in...More

Everything is good. The fish is fresh from the mornings catch. Our favorites is the Nori wrapped stuffed ahi and mochiko chicken. The opening hours are short and there is only take out, but Ala Moana Beach Park is nearby to have a picnic lunch...More
