My wife turned me on to this place. She knows them mostly from high school fundraisers. The chicken is great and the ribs aren't bad, either. We keep coming back :)

I stopped in here for lunch the chicken was good but the ribs while cooked perfectly were way to salty. And I tried the Mac Salad maybe the worst I have ever had in Hawaii.. really not much special about this place.

Saw Koala Moa rotisserie chicken on an episode of Man Fire Food & just had to try it on our visit from Australia. Caught a Uber for $15 and it took us to a industrial area. Not very appealing to tourists but who cares, I was there for the food. For $15 we got a whole bbq huli huli chicken,... More

Da verdict on Koala Moa. Still the same onolicious chicken we remember from back in the days. I actually remember picking up chicken that was in a plastic bag then in a paper sack. We used to head down to Ala Moana Beach Park with the Ohana and a few rice balls to eat. Today Koala Moa brought me back... More

We ordered the half chicken with 3 sides - salad, corn, brown rice. The chicken was so delicious - moist and tender with a crispy skin. Just like chicken should taste.

Koala has an outpost on the weekend at Bellows Beach Park entrance. The smokey charcoal rotisserie pit blows BBQ scent across the road. The whole chicken is flayed flat and placed on a spit to continuously turn over the coals. The chicken surprisingly lacks much seasoning, but has a distinct open pit flavor. It's very moist and cooked through. A... More

We have passed this place for years. Today we stopped, the chicken was ok, not great. It does not have BBQ sauce but lacks seasoning. We also had Ribs that were good, not slathered in BB sauce either. They were good and had a wonderful taste. I would not rush back!

If you like good rotisserie Chicken then you must find this place. It's very local and no tourists will be there. If you just want a true Hawaiian experience and food. Grab a uber or lift and go. It's 8-10 minutes out of Waikiki. It was so good I went back he following day and I'm hard to please. I... More

I kept hearing I needed to have huli huli chicken while in Oahu, so I found this place to give it a try. I guess my expectations were very high for some amazing kind of chicken I've yet to eat. The chicken was very good and moist, but not much different than any other rotisserie chicken I've had anywhere else.... More

We ordered a double combo. It was perfect for the two of us. It comes with two ribs, half a chicken and sides. The chicken was good and moist. The ribs were awesome. Great flavor and a good size.
