Went during vacation - was very surprised - the meal was fantastic and the soup/meal was enough for two people.

My favourite dish by far is goma dare soba. Gomadare is a sesame seed based sauce. You dip the cold soba noodles in this cold sauce and the taste is amazing. Definitely order the omori ( larger serving) size.

Overrated, nothing bad, but certainly nothing special. The service is awful. The noodles were fine but definitely not worth the obnoxious service.

Really enjoyed the tempura zaru soba noodles. The consistency of the noodles were perfect and wished I had more time to order another. Now I am now back home in California and really wish there was a restaurant like this here.

Wanting a light meal I came across this restaurant & entered fascinated by the menu. I had roasted Gingko Nuts to start…I grow a Gingko tree at home so was ken to try the nuts. They have an unusual flavour & are a nice alternative to other starters. I then had a 1/2 size ( just as well, it was... More

It's hard to find authentic handmade soba or udon in northern cal. This place is the best in Oahu. There was no wait on a weekday afternoon. You can't go wrong ordering anything that has soba or udon. Their texture is similar to the ones I had in Sapporo and Tokyo. We were trying to adventurous and ordered the squid... More

Excellent selection of cold soba or udon or hot soba and udon. This restaurant also has a nice selection of appetizers as well. Having travelled throughout Japan this place reminded me of smaller family run restaurants I ate at albeit with a much larger menu!

This place reminded me of the basic menus I saw in Northern Japan. Most Japanese restaurants have a few vegetarian options which is good for my partner who is gluten free and vegetarian, but this is mostly chicken and pork dishes. I had a deep fried chicken meal - it was very very greasy. The service was good, very friendly... More

This was the best soba I've ever had. We saw reviews on Yelp and decided to try this place on our first night in Waikiki. We certainly weren't disappointed; the food was fantastic! The restaurant is tucked away on a side street in Waikiki and wasn't very busy when we came in for dinner. It was very quiet and we... More

Great authentic soba and you don't have to travel to Japan. Have eaten there on several occasions for business lunch. If you're not sure, suggest you try their daily set menu with homemade soba. For Westerners the set menu course is not only a great experience but sufficient to fill you. The authenticity is authenticated by the repeat Japanese customers... More
