Other spots have some good Manapua (Steamed Bun with Shredded Park), but when you talk to locals, this is THEE SPOT! A great treat to take to friends and former residents of Hawai'i on the mainland, just let them know so they can prepare the boxes for the plane ride! Prices have gone up considerably for the Manapua from $0.75... More

Talk about a hole in the wall. I walked by twice before i figured out the entrance was actually the entrance and not the kitchen... even though it was the kitchen. Food was GREAT.

We came to Chinatown in search of manapua and rice cake. Char Hung Sut was recommended. The manapua were huge and less than $2 each. But I thought there was too much bread. And the meat was good but it was dry. I like it when the meat part of the manapua is jucier. The rice cake was either the... More

The best pork hash! A Must Stop whenever we come home to the islands! Same ppl working there since I can remember! This is one place that the food has never changed since I was child! Its Always a Must for us to get some manapua & pork hash to bring back to Seattle.

The hours here are a bit odd (5:30am to 2pm) so consider this when planning to stop by. We came here for a quick breakfast one morning and it was really good. The manapua (pork buns) were the size of softballs and really yummy – quite doughy and flavourful. The service was quick and the prices were very reasonable, which... More

Very local stop in China town for seamed buns and my favorite mai tai su. A backed bun on the sweet side.

My first time coming here, I thought I was in the wrong place. It seemed like an open kitchen, not a place to buy food from, since there is no display and the menu is very high up on the wall on the far side of the place. But once I was helped by the friendly owners, I felt very... More

As a Chinese person, I had to check out what was so unique about Hawaiian-style manapuas (char siu bao.) To start, they're HUGE. Secondly, the pork was pulled and soft, and sweet. Be prepared for lines - I thought this was a tourist attraction, but it's clearly frequented by tourists and locals alike. Don't be scared off by the lines... More

went to have a nice early breakfast to found a sign saying closed until further notice. I drove to this location to try the nice budget price but really disappointed to see the notice. The décor is really old at the front of the shop.
