Great building, food and restaurant. The "wall of 2-top tables" turns me off. Tables so close you can pass the salt and hear conversations. Need a different layout. Otherwise...great!

Renovated Turn of the Century Police Station acts as the backdrop to the BEST steaks in Cincinnati. Come prepared to pay for them though. Great Atmosphere for celebrations....birthday's, anniversary's, etc. Limited Parking but they do offer Valet Service.

My husband and I went for the first time and the meal was exquisite! You can dress up or keep it business causal. The tables are very close together and you feel like you're going to share a meal with the people next to you but once you get started I didn't even notice anyone around me. The service was... More

Jeff Ruby's Precinct is just an amazing place where I take my wife every year for her birthday. The service is second to none and the food is just amazing. I just love Jeff Ruby's!!!

You will never go wrong eating here. Lived in Cincinnati all my life and this is one of the better places to come for a great steak.

No matter what the occasion may be, reserve a seat at The Precinct. As a thank you to the new in laws, my wife and I treated her parents at The Precinct. While waiting for our reservation, we ventured to the bar. It was crowded as they had live music. For reference, the bar is loud (as expected) and I... More

Have eaten at The Precinct on two separate occasions and both were excellent. Steaks were perfectly cooked and the Mac and cheese and the au gratin potatoes were delicious and be sure and leave room for the homemade donuts.

Been here dozens of times, plus other restaurants in the area owned by Jeff Ruby, and it continues to amaze. The menu is simple, the steaks are tasty and filling, the sides and desserts are the best in extras. It all comes with a hefty price tag, but then perfection usually does. Reservations are usually a must.

I really feel like this place is over-rated. The food is just very, very heavy and not particularly well done. We started with a salad which was almost inedible there was so much dressing. The entrees were "fine." One of us got steak, the other fish. Dessert again was heavy and uninspired. Maybe I just don't like this type of... More

Typical Jeff Ruby food - always good. However, this is not our favorite. It's a small, intimate setting. We felt too close to our neighboring diners.

Description
For Jeff Ruby, this is the steakhouse that started it all. In 1981, The Precinct was born in the former Cincinnati Police Patrol House Number 6. This turn-of-the-century, Romanesque-style structure would hold what is now the longest, continuously running white tablecloth restaurant in the city. Recently named one of America's Top 10 Steakhouses by USA Today and Gayot.com, The Precinct is frequently recognized as having Cincinnati’s best steaks, seafood and service. This consistent high level of quality and overall guest experience over 3 decades has endeared Precinct to celebrities, businesspeople, families and loyal diners alike.
