I have lived in Cincinnati my whole life and have never been here. I'm trying to figure out why. Food, excellent! Service, excellent! Atmosphere, very very nice. I have every intention of returning again soon

Known for their fried chicken, but equally specializing in traditional German fare, this combination family restaurant & sports bar offers a wide variety of lunch and dinner options, and is truly a family friendly environment. Finding the place is easy - watch for the 10 foot rooster in the bed of an El Camino (or Ranchero). Entry to the parking... More

For $13 a pop you'd think the buffet would be exceptional. Instead, you get industrial, just-add-water mashed potatoes, congealed gravy, off-flavored mac and cheese, sodium-laced green beans and stewed tomatoes (stewed tomatoes, really?). While the chicken is good, the pieces are small and, like the green beans, there's a ton of salt. The service was very, very good, and our... More

As occasional visitor to Cincinnati I've always tried to visit Ron's at least once each time I am in town. This year I brought some family members who also are from out of town and was a bit disappointed. The fried chicken, hot slaw and mock turtle soup were good but all else was average. As I said I felt... More

Originally founded with chicken as their main dish we have been going here for years and in that time they have expanded out into excellent ribs, chicken, and german dishes. If you've never been to the Roost it's worth planning a trip. Great staff and friendly people are always at the Roost.

Had to be in Western Hills on personal business, so we thought we'd try Ron's since it was on the way home, haven't eaten there in years, and have been looking for something different. Ron's, under the original owners, was a West Side institution, particularly the chicken was renowned. Today, its just another sports bar with sports bar quality food... More

This is a Cincy favorite and a well kept secret. Everything here is good but the hot bacon slaw and German potatoes salad are to doe for!
