We have been going to the Brown Dog for over 10 years for special occasions. The new location is quite a bit larger. I do recommend that you check the calendar of events for Blue Ash and avoid going to the Brown Dog if a major event is happening at this location. We went last year during Taste of Blue... More

We have been going to this restaurant for many years. Since they moved to the larger location, food has become quite inconsistent. One day it will be delicious, then the next time (e.g. last Wed evening), the chicken leg special is limp and undercooked, the rest of the food is not memorable at best. Maybe it depends on whether the... More

our waiter was the personification of insincere, more like a salesman than a server. The food was good, though overpriced. The beet salad had very few beets.

Very cool place with outdoor dining. Lots of cocktails, a little pricy. Great variety. The burger and fries were great, as was the ribeye and lamb chops

Glad you enjoyed! Yes, in the middle of a park may be odd, but soon there will be more things in the area. More

Fabulous meal, our first in their new location. Our server Leah was terrific, friendly and professional. I experimented with the venison and was extremely pleased, paired with couple glasses of a nice red Zinfandel. My wife had the paella, loaded with mussels, shrimp and scallops (I think ...) and tried a cocktail made with bourbon and blackberries. We were celebrating,... More

We showed up a bit early for a 7:45 PM res on a busy Friday night and the hostess was very attentive and got us a seat at the bar as soon as possible and then at a table right next to the kitchen, which proved to be interesting to watch. The food was solid. Nice beer selection, did not... More

This was our first time at Brown Dog's new location, and I was not all that impressed. The restaurant itself is beautiful, although some of the booths are extremely small and sitting next to the coffee pots and right off the kitchen does not impart much ambiance. Service was prompt, although he was in a big hurry for us to... More

I am sorry that you were seated in a less then desirable location. We do move people that request being moved, if we are able to accommodate them. Really wish you would have let us know your issues at the time of dining. We have looked into our wine pours and did move up to a 6 oz pour. More

Just revised the Brown Dog Cafe on their new location (it used to be in a small plaza.) The new place was hard to find in the dark but it was worth the search. Beautiful space, great service. The lamb chops were divine with burnt careots, asparagus and polenta. My husband had pan seared snapper with quinoa, Carmel iced Brussel... More

This restaurant moved to a new location which we had a bit of difficulty finding (the AAA guidebook had the previous address) but that was the only glitch. The service, food and wine were all superior. The restaurant is very modern and clean. If we were to be in Cincinnati again, we would definitely return to Brown Dog Café !!

This place is a Cincinnati MUST. From the caffeinated wild boar, Brussel sprouts with an egg and balsamic, blue crab corn chowder, the molten chocolate banana bread to their mocktails with basil and fruit, they emphasize local ingredients and dishes you won't find anywhere else. Our waiter John and the entire staff were attentive and welcoming. Don't make the same... More
