Something for everyone that is a vegan. Food was good for those who are not. Good service and a nice selection of teas.

At first I was a bit vary ... Food with extreme limits, now I am comparing this place to most restaurants I've been to which obviously don't have as many restrictions ... Even the veg ones as this place is vegan. So tofu I choose was disappointed as the curry was a little less and taste was bland... Nothing like... More
I have been a Sunflower fan for many years. Within the past year or two, the prices have increased and the Portions have decreased. Recently, I stopped in and ordered two entrees and One appetizer. The total was $31 (this did not include any drinks, etc.). Likewise, the portion size was a lot smaller than previous visits. Very disappointing. Will... More
My son found this absolute gem as we arrived in to Fairfax for a college visit. Being a vegan, he sometimes finds eating while traveling a challenge. We couldn't have been more pleased and surprised with this charming and absolutely delicious find! The restaurant is decorated in a sunflower theme throughout (yes, even the owners reflect the joy and calm... More
After visiting some friends in the area, we planned for a dinner at Sunflower. My daughter is vegan, my wife is gluten free and I am pescatarian, but prefer the vegan cuisine when I can. I'm a regular... Every dish I had thus far is perfect!! Some noodle dishes, you are given the option of noodles, as I have allergies. Food portions is normally enough as sometimes I'm walking out with a take home bag. My all time favorite is the Tom Yum w/sausage patty. Always filling. The staff is way more than helpful... Love... The food is very hit or miss here.If you get something that is good, it is REALLY good (like the tiramisu) but when you get something that is bad it is horrible (Gen Tso tofu was gooey and gelatin-like). It seems to be always busy so maybe my taste buds are off but I'll stick to the non-gravy/sauce dishes in... More
If your Ideal, vision or notion of an Asian vegetarian restaurant is rooted in the "chai" (vegetarian/mock) offerings of the great Asian capital cities, you may be disappointed in Sunflower, but for those with a bit of imagination, the meatless dishes of Sunflower are pleasant alternatives to traditional vegetarian offerings. Staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is clean... More
