Nice rustic place to get off the beaten path and dine for lunch or dinner, which is located in the main lobby of the lodge. Very good menu selection and food befitting an establishment in the Park. My dinner party and I agreed that we'd definitely dine there again, if we were in the area.

The menu looks great, but the food is just OK. This is a theme in my reviews for the parks. I guess I'm just not a fan of Xanterra catering. Sorry.

This is a true sit down dining room. But even the lunch we had there was slow in getting our order taken and slow getting the lunch to us. While the lunch was very tasty, the wait, just before noon and in a non-busy dining room, made us not want to go back. Plus their hours are (I think) the... More

Really nice restaurant and service. The place is busy we had to wait about 30 minutes. Great BBQ ribs mashed califlower. Sit on the big front porch in rockers as you wait for your white tablecloth ed table. We were there for lunch. Would go back.

We ate two dinners and a lunch here. Really a one of a kind spot. Especially great because the tour busses do NOT stop here, so very quite and real personal service. Only had to wait for a table once and it is wonderful waiting here because you get to sit on the front porch rockers, hurt me some more... More

My family dined here once for dinner and again for lunch. The childrens offerings included some unique dishes (ribs!), and the staff kindly substitued a salad or rice for fries upon request. The nacho appetizer was large enough for four to enjoy. The restaurant hosted full tables both visits, but each meal was delivered promptly with all of our special... More

You go here for the history. Pretty cool building, they had a decent menu, the food was good. On the expensive side but all in all we would go back again for the ambiance. The wait was not too long and we were there during peak season and peak lunch hour. Very nice staff.

Small dining room. We had to wait for about 30 minutes for a table at lunch. Good food, though, including some local specialities not available in other park restaurants. Great chairs on the expansive front porch. Worth a stop if you are near during lunch time.

If you driving the north loop at Yellowstone NP, there are not a lot of restaurant options. For sit down, it's Mammoth Hot Springs (which is a madhouse) or this spot. Location: midway between Mammoth Hot Springs and NE entrance. Cool looking original cabin with covered porch. Service: quickly got seated and waitress was efficient and friendly. Food: solid food... We had lunch in the dining room. Service was good. We had sandwiches, burgers and chilli. There is a nice lounge area with fireplace for people to hang out if they don't want to have a meal in the dining room.
