Extremely rude to tourists and unhelpful.. We came here today after being directed/ redirected twice from Village Lodge hotel and village centre and village shop and were only looking to start with coffee, just upon emtering the restaurant area there was an extremely rude manager...who said in an annoyed voice we are closed we are closed ! He looked down upon us and another guest who came in ( I mean we are tourists!! We dont know - have decent behavior) . From one place to another they shut down and shuffle us around - and its very surprising no one knows what time restaurants are closed ! Upon explaining to manager he says we will open in 30 mins and we dont know what others people in area do - well heres a suggestion- connect better in your locality.More

Good sandwich selection. Glad we stayed before the stupid covid protocols were re-enacted. Loved Peet’s Coffee and appreciated the military discount.

Good Quality Food. Reasonable Value for Yosemite. Turkey Sandwhich on whole wheat roll was very good. Facilities were very clean. Staff were very friendly.

February "crowds" still managed to jam up this place. Inefficient staff and kiosk ordering then waiting in line to pay and then waiting to receive the food.

We didn't stay here very long but long enough to purchase two coffees and cookies. It was busy and not obvious where you queued to order drinks or food. Slightly pricey as it was within Yosemite Village but has a captive audience I guess. gave...our legs a rest whilst we enjoyed a refreshment. It is what it is - a quick turnaround cafe.More

We ordered a pizza and two sandwiches. It took 25 minutes for a fresh pizza, it was good and the time was as expected. But, it took an hour to get the two sandwiches! One was good, one ended up in the trash. Ordering from...the kiosk. then standing around in a crowded room hoping to hear your number called is so much worse that the old Degan's. Used to give your oder to the person making your sandwich, follow them down the line to the cash register, pick up some soup, chips, etc. along the line and pay and out. Much faster, more organized and the food was better. Sorry to find the "new" Degnan's is just OK at best. I will pack my own lunch next trip.More

The sandwiches and pizza were very tasty but...obviously this cafe is always going to be super busy at lunchtime, every lunchtime. So a few suggestions (we had time to give this a lot of thought while we waited an hour for our lunch); Have your...order kiosks away from the food collection point so people don't block each others access. Put gluten free, dairy free, vegan etc options up front on the kiosk display to speed up ordering. Add a payment option direct to the kiosk so people don't have to queue twice. Display the average wait time so people can order accordingly. No one comes to Yosemite to hang around in a cafe. Pre-make your most popular sandwiches each morning, you should be easily able to pull this data from the order kiosk. Use a pager system so patrons know when their order is ready. Again this will reduce the clogging in the collection area. Pizza and sandwich teams to coordinate with each other. Soup/chilli/hotpot available to order from all kiosks. And finally, not having any handwash facilities in the ladies loo is a health hazard and completely unacceptable, alternative facilities should have been signposted/arranged.More

We were there on Christmas Eve, so it was partially closed and the over-tasked staff that was working was very pleasant and professional. Degnan’s served the purpose for what we needed. Yosemite Village exists of only a good sized general store, Degnan’s, a post office...and the famous Ansel Adams Gallery, so Degnan’s is the only option for a light sit-down meal. We ordered two personal-sized (4 slices each) cheese pizzas ($8 each) and ice cream drumstick bars ($3 each) from the small center food court area. Limited ddeli-type seating areas are available on both sides of the court with a much larger loft area above that covers the same footprint as the entire downstairs, but the loft was roped off the evening we stopped in. Being in a national park, Some seating is also provided outside the store. You probably don’t want to count on Degnan’s as your daily go-to place, but, if hungry and in the village area, it helps to give you the calories you need to keep going.More

Like many who visit Yosemite we became hungry and there aren’t many options. This place is near the visitors center so it is very busy even though we weren’t there in the busiest time of year. We waited extremely long (25 minutes) for mediocre pizza...and then felt bad because one man indicated that he had ordered before us. (We offered him our pizza but he declined.) I felt sorry for the people working there as they were clearly overwhelmed. Next time I think we’ll pack a cooler!More
