I think the Meadows is one of the most beautiful places on earth. You are close to so many hiking routes thet you will need more that couple days to know the surroundings. The filet mignon in the restaurant is pretty good actually. YOU SHOULD VISIT THE MEADOWS.

I ate here 3 times at the end of August and early September -- two dinners and one breakfast. James was our server all three times. My first dinner was good. I had the beef stew. Good flavor, good veggies, and beef that wasn't at all fatty. Tables are shared with other diners. The next morning I had breakfast here... More

This place is amazing! Stay here if you like solitude and the great outdoors. The staff is great there is a cascading stream right outside the door of your cabin and great scenery all around you. In the summer this is the place to be in Yosemite! The food in the restaurant is great!

I had the beef stew and my son had the trout. Both were very good. It was also nice to meet the people at the table that we shared. We had one meal at the Lodge during our three days stay. We drove over to the nearby picnic area at Lembert Dome, and prepared meals using our gas grill for... More

Our family of four enjoyed two breakfasts and two dinners at the Lodge during our stay. Everyone is seated at communal tables of 8 or 10 people. At breakfast, there can be a bit of a wait right when they open at 7am, as many morning hikers que up as early as 6:30am to get breakfast in before hitting the... More

Several of us remarked on how bad the food was at Tuolumne Lodge. I couldn't eat my entree, the tuna that couldn't decide if it was sushi or cooked, on a stingy bed of undercooked pasta. We loved the overall lodge experience and we loved hiking through the wilderness. But the food here was well below-par even for a rustic... More

Since there are not many dining options in Tuolumne Meadows, I suspect that's why they charge premium for their food. They also charge you for drinks refill and splitting plate. Personally I am definitely turned off by that. We had their Minestrone Soup, Cornmeal dusted trout and Shrimp Scampi. The soup was not any better than canned soup. Cornmeal dusted... More
