Visited with inlaws, husband and 3 yr old daughter for lunch, service was not friendly at all, children's nachos we're unpalatable very dry mince presented poorly, corn fritters were drenched in hollandaise and the dressing on the salad overly sweet. Coffee wasn't great and was only lukewarm. The playground is a safety hazard, the pole was not attached at the... More

Enjoyed the decor and we all enjoyed our lunch. Was expensive but that seems to be the norm for Twizel (we have found this town so expensive, even more so than queenstown). Good variety of cabinet food and they have a Menu as well. Mini golf was awesome and there is a playground opposite the cafe. An enjoyable experience all... More

We popped in on a weekend in twizel for a game of mini golf and some lunch, the homemade pies are tasty with lots of meat but overall the menu was quite expensive for what it was, quirky decor and shop.

Went for lunch. Lovely staff. Interesting and quirky decore. However maybe we were there on a bad day, as we thought the food was, at best, average, and the coffee mediocre. Yes it was OK, but when there are other options, I'd be reluctant tp go back there,

We came over from Tekapo for a game of mini golf while on holiday there. Amazing scenery on the drive over. Some of the holes were harder than others but as there wasn't many people we were able to take our time. At the end of the game we went back inside and got some souvenirs to remember our holiday... Excellent coffee and muffins (to die for). The café has been decorated in a theme of an age of recent past - of a time of post-war décor and the accoutrements and artifacts of a time past. It has a rustic interior very tastefully done.

My friend and I were just travelling through Twizel and decided to stop here for a late lunch and coffee. We both had wraps both the crispy chicken and breakfast ones are yummy and the coffee quick too. The staff are lovely and friendly also. Overall I'd recommend if your passing through or live here.
