Staff were friendly and the room was clean and a good size. Unfortunately water pressure in the shower wasn't great. There was some noise heard from the hallway and from other rooms. The balcony door did not lock properly. Definitely visit Shawty's Cafe.

We were staying elsewhere but were able to dine casually for the buffet dinner. We found there was a good selection & we both thoroughly enjoyed our 3 courses.

Rib eye steak was to die for, with a delicious mushroom sauce, cooked to perfection. Would recommend to my friends and family. restaurant has a lovely layout with wide windows looking out onto the lawn. Staff were extremely accomodating and friendly. would visit again.

Parking is easy, quiet location, value for money with convenient access to the city center (walking distance). It is also near restaurants.

Good food, good ambience, value for money. The only thing wrong with our visit was the staff were overworked and one more serving person would have prevented delays. However the food compensated with a great menu and we all enjoyed our selections. Recommended

We ended up in Twizel because Mt. Cook was full. Lovely little town with decent places to eat (Poppies!) and gorgeous views of the mountains. Hotel looked OK on the outside but was really outdated. The rooms were circa 1950. Rooms were clean, however. So if you're stuck, it's an option. Also would recommend the LOTR tour and biplane flight.... More

We tried the hot stone beef grill. Interesting experience. Definitely worth trying during your stay at Tekapo.
