We had heard a lot about this restaurant and pre booked a table prior to visiting Wanaka for the weekend. The outside of the building can be deceiving but inside there is a great atmosphere and the food was delicious. The menu is displayed on a black board menu and presumably changes often. The 4 of us all choose something... More

Wandered along the restaurant strip facing the waterfront without a booking for anywhere, didn't feel hugely inspired by what we came across and many places were too busy for our party of 8. We turned the corner and came across the White House, so glad we did!! Tables were unable to be moved but as we were happy to sit... More

Wandered into to White House tonight with friends. We were 4 adults & 4 children. We had no particular expectations. While the decore could do with a refresh, we were pleasantly surprised with the meals & the host was very accommodating. He was happy to indulge the childrens tastes with a flexible menu. We had three lively courses with a... More

Great food for 2 families dining together. Great service and very accommodating to our children's tastes. Awesome food and deserts, good wine and beer selection.

What a place? Rustic, charming and a must if visiting Wanaka. Lovely food, friendly and welcoming and great background music. It is quirky, so different from the majority of restaurants in NZ.

An unsuspecting space set off the street, but worth exploring! Delicious food (try the bruschetta) and great local wines.

Rustic decor and environs begging for a little TLC give this place its charm. There's a small bar in the dining room where you can enjoy a drink or eat your meal. We sampled courses from the entire menu and nothing disappointed. With only 3 staff ( incl chef) it's amazing they can service so many guests so well. Definitely... More

Thought I wasn't feeling hungry so opted for ginger tofu salad - it was delicious and despite my supposed lack of appetite I managed to devour it with relish! Great service and ambience too.

Loved this restaurant. It felt really authentic like we had stepped into a little piece of the Mediterranean. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the recommendations from the waitress. The Bruschetta is a must, and the beef aubergine is a unique dish that you would go back for. The service was particularly good considering we came late in... More

This restaurant serves some of the best food you will find, but the atmosphere can be a bit eccentric. Don’t expect to seat a party of more than 5, the tables are round and screwed to the floor so cannot be moved. The owner has an approach to customer service which is different and can appear to be offhand (Basil... More
