When you are hot, when you wanted something cold even in cold weather... think about Black Peak Gelato. All naturally made. Busy business but worth the queue.

Friends and I tried a few flavor the other day and they were all amazing. I had their nectarine (true taste of the fruit and can taste the chunky nectarine too) and berry (excellent acidity and very pleasant texture). Go on and order some gelato then take a walk along wanaka for a great afternoon!

You'll want to go back every day. Everything in this place is delicious and there's such a mixture of flavours. Friendly staff, lots of options on how to have your gelato or sorbet. Great place :)

I am a bit of an ice cream connoisseur so had to go and try Black Peak as a friend who used to live in Wanaka raved about it. The service was very friendly, the lovely French girl serving me put an enormous piece of cookie from the cookies and cream in the cone for me to find after I... More

This place is a real gem. I got a salted caramel cup and it was so good. I also tried the nectarine sorbet which was equally delicious. Very tasty! Well worth a look!

This place has friendly staff who sell a good range of gelatos. Their smoothies are very good too, but you need two straws to consume them. A great treat on a hot day.

We visited three times in our week in Wanaka. We tried to vary flavours but kept returning to the sea salt caramel ... And decided it was best matched with coconut. Truly scrumptious. A must do in Wanaka ... At least every second day!

Really simple place with plain presentation that doesn't satisfy the eyes, but does wonders with your mouth. Smooth ice cream that melts in your mouth. You can feel good ingredients was used in making this. I would do a bit of a design make over to attract more customers though.

Best gelato by far compared to other boutique gelateries we tried in NZ. Store was actually just closed when we arrived - we put on our "very sad faces" and the staff opened to serve us - thanks ladies.

Wanted to go the hokey pokey but was drawn to the blackberry sorbet. Such a fresh natural flavour. Delicious.
