We love La Vache and we always eat at least twice during our week of skiing. This is the third year in PV and we've never been disappointed here. Great food for kids, adults and vegetarians!

Just returned from Peisey felt the need to review this excellent place! We visited most afternoons with the children. There is a sledging area outside that the children loved. Beers and food all good, especially the La Vache Burger. Great view and friendly staff. Hope to return in the future.

Only two minutes walk from our chalet, and with good reports, this was always going to be the place to go for Wednesday chalet night off meal. (Book early on that day, all 8 of us in our chalet booked on Monday, and it's clear others did likewise. Not disappointed. Our Tartiflettes were delicious and similar comments from others concerning... More

Good food, friendly quick service and sensible prices. All of these assets should keep them busy - what more do you need in a ski village?

Fantastic venue, cosy in bad weather, great deck in the sunshine. Food is great, well worth booking. Unfortunately some people think that good food can be prepared instantly, they need to stay away!

I've only been here once but I was pleased I visited. Even though externally it looks like a typical French countryside restaurant it has a very English atmosphere inside. There are plenty of local dishes to choose from including fondu and tartiflette but also plenty of stuff to suit English tastes like the turkey and mushroom pie I chose. It's... More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed our varied menu. The chairlift does indeed close for lunch for 1 hour; what a perfect excuse to stop by for lunch! We hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, The 'La Vache' team More

Biggest plus was the location (50m from chalet versus 1km+ to main restaurant area). I think the majority of business is from SkiBeat chalets located close-by and hence the quiz night (Mondays) is great but chalet host night off (Wednesday) is busy. We were disappointed by the poor selection of beer and the food was mediocre for mid-price budget. However,... More

Hi TrevorWarne, Thank you for your review. On a Monday night we are closed except to Ski Beat guests for the quiz. The rest of the week the majority of our customers are French. We're disappointed you didn't enjoy our selection of beers- we have a standard lager, strong lager, a white wheat beer and a cider on draught. In... More

This is a great find. Just off the main piste above Plan Peisey. Its served by its own small chairlift (closed 12.30 - 1) Great choice of food. Pies, oriental stuff, burgers, salads and all the usual Savoyard dishes. Different specials every day. Very friendly and efficient service. We've had a number of lunches there over the past few years... More

Party of 16 on a snowy day in the Alps. The food was delicious and varied and a nice change from usual mountain fare. Dishes included curry (one of the nicest I've ever had), ribs, lasagne, burgers etc... all freshly made and very tasty. Lovely atmosphere and worth a visit.
