Good service/average food. Seems to be a common theme in south Dublin unless you want to spend €50 a head. Burgers were unseasoned which was disappointing because the minced beef was fresh. Likely give the cabaret a go next time as they host some good...More

Recently it was the better half's birthday and with all the Christmas bookings it was a bit of a chore to find a restaurant that would take our booking. Anyway, The Purty Kitchen did and we were very pleased they did. Our party included one...More

I wouldn't call it pub food as it would be a massive under statement. It's very good, with great flavours and perfectly portions. The calamari was perfect lying cooked, the haddock was so taste and very meaty (for fish, you'll get what I mean). Service...More

We went to a company night out (140 people) and had booked Purty Kitchen for the night. The atmosphere was nice but the food was truly boring. The bbq was burned to a black bitter crisp and was a strange mix of fish, beef and...More

Been a while since I have visited the Purty Kitchen. Menu is mainly sea food and I would stick to having sea food. My wife had the burger and it was just alright. The Hake dish was excellent and really tasty. The prawn staters was...More

We visited on a Saturday evening and the pub was busy, good atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious. The fish was excellent. It is quite expensive but probably no more so than other places within the area.

Description
WINNER OF DUBLIN'S BEST GASTRO PUB 2013 - IRISH RESTAURANT AWARDSThe Purty Kitchen re-opened it's doors under new ownership in October of 2012. The Purty Kitchen is south Dublin’s newest gastropub serving a wide variety of fresh fish and pub classics with flair. Every dish has been created to show off seasonal food at it’s best and we have used Irish produce wherever possible. We have tried to put a signature twist on all of our food. Take our burger for example. They are made in house with dry aged Irish beef from Kettyle meats. The cheese comes from 5 mile town creamery and then it’s all served on a Waterford blaa with a basket of skin-on rooster chips. Most of what we serve in the Purty Kitchen is made in the Purty Kitchen. Where there are exceptions to that, we have sourced things from other great Irish food producers like Boulaban Farm in Tipperary for our salted caramel ice cream, or Arbutus Bakery in Cork for delicious sourdough rye bread.
