Charming old inn with excellent real ales. CAMRA discount offered. I didn't eat so can't comment on the food but the beer is very well kept with several from the Askrigg Brewery "Yorkshire Dales Brewing co" on offer.

I don't know about the restaurant, but the menu in the bar is just fine, so even if you can't get into the restaurant with the dog, you will enjoy the pub.
