The staff seemed unhappy which reflected in the welcome & ambience of the place Tea room nearby is closed on a Tuesday so they missed an opportunity to offer cakes / patisserie

We stayed at the hotel and therefore ate breakfast and dinner here. The breakfast, both full English, were well cooked and presented, as were the dinners.

When we arrived and informed the individual behind the bare we had a reservation, her response was "nobody told me". Not a good start. Then we were seated her English was so bad that she could not describe the chicken dish on the regular menu....More

Both Dinner and breakfast was very good. Lots of choice and served by friendly staff. For dinner we both had Fish and Chips which was excellent and at a good price too.
We had a 'perfect' evening. The food (very generous) was delicious and the service was friendly and unobtrusive. Sean the manager was welcoming and friendly, a real bonus. We will return soon!
