We had brunch at this cafe on a weekend away and were delightfully surprised by the variety and quality of the food here. We both had breakfast and a pudding, which we would never do, but the food looked too delicious to pass up! We also bought some decaff filter coffee to take home and it is very yummy :)

Decided to go in after seeing the lovely unusual delicacies in the window. Everything appears home made and I'm sure it is. Lots of choice for vegetarians and there are tables at the back for eating in. Prices are very reasonable and food is quality. Would recommend.

Visited here in half term. Looked friendly and allowed dogs in the back room. Lovely choice of sandwiches, soup, cakes, scotch eggs etc. We had a lovely lunch, good tea and coffee. Slightly different from the norm. Very good quality and very friendly. Definitely one of the best we have been to in the area and highly recommended.

Food was very nice, we had a panini, donut, dunking pot and 2 hot chocolates. Came to £15 so deffo only a treat. Service was prompt and vaguely friendly, it was late in the day. Cash only here. Not sure about all the religious stuff in here. Put me off a bit. We will be back to try again.

May I just say ....... while you read this, just note I am a notoriously fussy person ( in a nice way!) This bakery is just absolutely amazing. The shop window displays are filled with tempting treats, and just lure you inside. Inside is just exciting, so many delights, so many choices. You almost need to go 20-30 mins before... More

After seeing the unusual delights in the window we decided this is the place to have lunch. Once we stepped through the door there were even more surprises. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing with a rustic and yet intellectual feel. It would be a place to sit in a quiet corner and read my paper, hold a poetry meeting, lunch... More

We came here for coffee and cake last week. We were very impressed with the cakes, they were generous and tasty. The coffee was great as well. The place has a slightly cluttered chaotic vibe to it, especially around the till area, but we didn't mind that. There's plenty of seating and wifi.

I have visited the Big Rock Cafe on several occasions to eat as I live locally and find it handy to take visiting friends. The food on the menu is varied and good value, but today I just wanted a loaf of bread. I was ignored by the person behind the counter who saw me but didn't ask what I... More
