Top quality high end food locally sourced with home grown produce. Beautifully presented, prepared by the chef/host.

I stayed at Barratt's regularly while working in Rhyl over several months, there was always a warm welcome and it soon felt like a home from home. Breakfast was always freshly cooked to order and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you David and Elvira!

This little gem describes itself as a restaurant with rooms. The rooms are as good as the restaurant and deserve a better billing. The house is very old, 15th century I believe, and has been surrounded by modern, ugly buildings, which will show up on a google search. Such a shame as the house and grounds are lovely! For dog... Only live 200 metres from Barratts. We had, seen and heard excellent reviews. We went last Sunday, for lunch, for the first time. I can't rate the experience high enough. Elvira was lovely, the food was excellent. The surroundings were quirky, as befits the oldest property in Rhyl Will we return - you bet. It will be sooner rather than... More

The quality of food in the restaurant is superb - however it is important to book in advance. The interior decor is interesting with one of the waiting rooms very cosy with a fire place and wide-ranging books on various topics from travel to cookery. The 3 course dinner was approximately £40 each - but the experience and the ambiance... More

I live in the neighbouring town of Prestatyn. If I want a real treat, this is the place for me! First of all the house itself is of historical interest and the interior is cosy yet regal. The open fire in the lounge area is a lovely touch. This is where our canapés were served alongside some wine which we... More

Myself, my Wife and our thirteen year old Son visited this lovely restaurant on a Sunday for lunch. The house and gardens are very nice. We were greeted by the lovely owner who took our order. A short time later she showed us into the main dining room to a lovely table overlooking the front garden. We all had the... More

Dined over weekend 13/5. Comfit of duck with whisky and orange sauce was amazing. It is difficult to do justice to David's excellent breakfast the following morning. This is a restaurant with rooms, The listed building dates from 1672, and has been lovingly restored by David and Elvira. My wife and I were lucky to be able to stay for... More
